random chinese shows up on firefox when I uploaded an HTML file to my server

So after I made a page in Nvu, http://www.bobtheduck.org/koreapics.html , I checked the actual website on firefox. At the bottom, there was a bunch of random Chinese. I looked up a translation via google, and it doesn't look like it actually says anything at all (vs most of the time where I can at least get an idea of what it may be saying)

It showed up in the source when I looked at the source too, but it's not in the file I actually uploaded to my server. I checked the file before I uploaded it, and it didn't show up there. I also checked on IE, and it didn't show up there, so it seems to only show up on Firefox when I'm actually on the website...

I'm not even sure anyone else will see it. Is there any reason why this would happen?

EDIT: Nevermind... I used the wrong Unicode setting... Firefox is picky about Unicode settings, I guess.

Yeah, your character encoding seems to have been set to UTF-16. The usual default nowadays is UTF-8 for Unicode.

Funny thing is, the Chinese symbols show up on the old IE versions they use at the school too. I guess IE fixed this problem at some point, but Firefox hasn't yet.

Firefox has gotten steadily worse and worse since version 2. [/offtopic]

Maybe when all the plugins I use on it are on Chrome, I'll switch over. Until then, I rely on those plugins too much to switch to anything else (except I use IE when the page doesn't work right on Firefox)
