DVDXpress problems

Postby The Last Bard » Sat Jun 17, 2006 10:53 pm

I've recently bought DVDXpress, a program to convert video from your camera to the computer and change it to digital for editting/DVD. It seems to be working really well, BUT there is one problem. As long as nothing is really moving it's doing fine, but when someone starts walking around, there are lines where the person is walking...
They don't really hender the picture where you can't see what's happening, but it's annoying as heck.
Does anyone have any idea why this is so?

Thanks!

I think the video is interlaced; that is one frame has odd lines, the next frame has all the even lines. These may be interpreted as being the wrong way around (ie. odd frames first instead of even frames first). So maybe try looking for an option to reverse the frame order, or if that doesn't work, deinterlace the video (which will make it look smoother).

Hope that helps.
