A while back, I installed a free codec pack on my computer. This allowed me to play a lot more videos, but...

Well, now the quality of most of the media I watch is horrible, glitchy looking. So, is there any way that I can set what codecs are used for which filetype?

Do you remember the name of the pack?
it may have added some post-processing flags do do extra work on the video; or it could have included beta release codecs that arent stable.

i had this problem for awhile, and then i updated my divx and everything started working find again. i dont know what happened or what divx did, but everything works great now!
