DVD drives for Dell Inspiron 8100

Postby wiggins » Tue Nov 04, 2003 10:55 am

Hi! Anyone know a good site to get a dvd drive (I don't care if its internal or external) for a Inspiron 8100 for a reasonable price? If it exists, maybe an NTSC one?

It won't be model specific, you just need to make sure that you get the right size - laptop or desktop. Any decent computer store will sell you one, here are some UK ones

http://www.ebuyer.com - my personal favourite
http://www.dabs.com - huge selection, better if you know what your buying before hand
http://www.watford.co.uk - my second personal favourite

There are loads of others but the above ones are probably the best three for prices and customer service

Remember what I told you in the other thread: computer DVD players are neither inherently NTSC or PAL. They *do* have the possibility of having region code restrictions depending on where you buy it from, and what the firmware is, but the DVD player program won't care if the disc is NTSC or PAL.
