computers raise your blood pressuer

Postby CobaltAngel » Fri Dec 05, 2003 12:41 pm

They do! o.o Whether your online or not, they'll do their evil...
If you ARE on, you have to put up with uploads not working, your net connection crashing every 1.5 seconds (maybe that just happens to me?), page taking an average of a half hour to load (again, maybe that just my crapmachine... I mean computer)
If you AREN'T on, then you're worried about "oooh, what if someone responded that that post... ACK! I think I spelled something wrong in that post! I must check! o.o", or "I really need to be working on my website! Or editing my comics to be posted! Or posting art!"

...or maybe I'm just the type of person who's blood pressure is easily raised?

Heh. I used to have this same problem. Then I went to the Mac relm. (Not a tangent, I promise!)

I acutally shelled out about twice what I would have for a PC spacifically so that I wouldn't have to deal with that headache anymore. I figured if the PC world (read: M$) couldn't get it right after the ten years I gave them, then by golley I'd go to a different system. I would have stayed with my Linux boxes, but RedHat went and.... Well, I won't post that here. Ã…nyway... There's you're answer to the 'evil' computer delima!

DSL is a good thing...^^ Although come to think of it, I've had nightmare DSL problems too. It doesn't help when your dad stands behind your leering like a computer vulture saying: "Is it fixed yet?" :shady:

A computer can raise one's blood pressure even if it is turned off. (Try working inside one with limited room. *shudders* )

Indeed, especially when you get one of those little screws stuck under the motherboard.

Computers definitely raise my blood pressure.

For example, I was playing SC this moring after not playing the game for quite some time. I ended up getting attacked by all three opponents, which really made me made. Luckily I have a laptop, so I didn't try to beat the computer to death (I just threw my headphones at the screen).

playing games _lower_ my blood pressure. in fact, i feel calm just walking around shooting things in the game. like fy_marioworld. [/shameless plug for his newest map under development]

but really, only RPGs make me all hyped up before playing. unless of course i'm invited in a clan match as a guest... then i have to play well :) then the blood pressure goes up...

Actually I don't think my blood pressure rises with computers. Sometimes I might worry about my grandma's, because her's has a different way of shutting it down and maybe my brother could do it wrong, then mess up the computer. But that's about the only thing that raises my blood pressure.
