Boards:
http://www.ChristianForums.com I'm "Susan" there. Don't bother reading posts I made until about May or June 2002 because I was posting some of the silliest things (that was when I wanted to be a "good" hyperfundamentalist, lol, seriously, I posted some pretty messed-up stuff and I even tried to be anti-anime for a short while, until I saw that you COULD be Christian and a fan)

That's a really cool board. I really like it. If you go, please check out the RPGs and anime club. You're automatically a member if you're a fan LOL.

http://www.otakuboards.com This is a secular anime board, but one of the better such boards. Be warned that there are a few *discussions* of topics such as homosexuality/yaoi (and a few really mindless fangirls that think any male character in anime is necessarily not straight).

However, the moderation is some of the best I've seen on an anime board, and images/seriously graphic discussions are removed quickly. I really love this board, and I post, often in the Anime Lounge forum, as "MillieFan." By the way, if you go there, please drop by the thread "Legato?" in the Anime Lounge. We're discussing the nature of truth and why evil is evil there. . .

http://www.animeangels.net/forum2/index.php This is another Christian anime board. I like it, but it's really slow sometimes since half of the membership is inactive.

On a personal note, I used to go to Anime Angels, but I've stopped. The only threads every really active were the debate ones, and even then it got rather bitter between members who disagreed. But, go if you wish...just my two cents on it.

The otakuboards look like the best general anime board I've seen. I'm joining right away.. the other two I've already been to.

animeangels -- joined, but there's not much activity (I like fast paced forum action)

christianforums -- loads slowly even on my cable connection -- also the layout is really confusing. They are very cool forums but to me it looks like the admin went to vbulletin.org and decided to install every single addon that is available for vbulletin. result? total confusion.

think I'll be hanging around otakuboards a lot now though -- for a start they allow image sigs

(unlike animeboards.com which is a similar kind of board but with all the cool stuff stripped out  )

nice links anyway :thumb:

Thanks very much! By the way, I love these new smilies!

Anyway, now for some more links.

As you know, I'm this huge Trigun fan. While Ashley listed some really good links, there are two I didn't see in her review list.

http://www.theotaku.com/trigun/ I love this site except for the "Biblical references" section, where they wasted a ton of space with something that was either implied very weakly or never implied in the anime at all (the fan theory that Vash and Knives were "a new Adam and Eve") and where they totally missed some major references. Oh well. The rest of the site is great (and NO, I do not work for theotaku.com, I just really love their sites)

If you have Japanese and translation software installed on your computer and can read it (which I don't and can't, LOL:comp: ) this is Yasuhiro Nightow's personal site http://www.din.or.jp/%7Enightow/EFef.html

Try babelfish.altavista.com to translate. It's free and you don't need to download anything. However, the translation is always questionable. It is worth using and better than trying to read the page without a translation, though.

I don't even have the Japanese language pack installed on my PC so all it comes up with are the English words with a few boxes, numbers, and squiggles. :hits_self
