Everyone else has a thread such as this, so here is mine. I'm new to poetry, so maybe through this thread I will see my skill improve. I'll post new poems whenever I write them.
Valentine's Night
On a night inspired by love
Couples celebrate their emotion
As the stars burn brightly in the night above
One girl sets the future in motion
The feeling of a love realized
For a beautiful girl
Of all dreams idealized
A peace unfurls
A boy’s eyes filled with hope
And the girl’s beauty shined
A whisper was uttered
As their hands intertwined

Hopeful Dreams
Hopeful, wishful dreams
Rise to the cloudless skies
Like burning stars
As a man’s heart flies!
The celebrated beauty
Held by a gentle innocence
Resonates like a beacon
By her sudden appearance!
As their hands clasp
And the pair take a stance
Love takes a tangible form
As the two dance!
The lights fade
The music plays
Couples swing
And hearts are ablaze
The night wears on
The symphony goes on
With the hope of a love
For the eternal dawn!

Untitled (Thus Far)
Eyes like the depths of the ocean
A smile like a radiant sun
A voice like the melody of a thousand birds singing
Causes my emotions to go reeling
Might it be love
Or a wishful thought?
Is the attraction mutual
Or one-sided, as usual?
No matter be the case
I want to be in her embrace
To look into those eyes
And be lost
My hopes rising
My heart racing
As I see her
And let my soul speak

I really like the imagery and personification you use in these poems. I'm especially fond of the second one. Post more pleashe!

Firstly, I hope you don't mind that I note that when I saw 'mes poemes' I immediately thought: 'a title in French! Must... click.'
I love languages, especially French, so hence my extra desire to click.
Your first poem was great; I think the last verse was the most striking for some reason. At least, it was my favourite. A very beautiful ending, with a softness, colour and grace about it. Not sure quite why I see it like that, but it had that sort of an impression for me.
You're right, KB: the second poem is really incredible. Especially with what I noticed on the first verse: the way it seems like a joyful exclamation, the way it's formed and ends with an exclamation mark. Loved it!
No matter be the case
I want to be in her embrace
To look into those eyes
And be lost
On that last line I stopped and took a mental pause; I love that idea of being lost in someone's eyes, and hope someday to find that one for me whose eyes I love to gaze into.
Excellent poems, D2000, and all on a great theme. I really liked how they shared the same topic, but explored it differently.

Shameful Doubt
The walls, once weakened
Broken, brittled, about to crumble
Are closing in again
As starts the tumble
Confusion and chaos beckoned
Causing me to stumble
Fighting to remain
As one of love’s humble
Questions swirl, dozens per second
Creating a cocaphony of doubt, barely audible
Above the cries of the stain
Of past mistakes, almost palpable
The voice comes in
Speaking softly, soothing
As a breeze of the wind
Music to the ears, the wrinkles smoothing
A tired mind be put to rest
Under the starry sky
Dreams sail in and out, a wave’s crest
The breathing slowing, with a smile and a sigh

Wow, that poem really appealed to the senses. Lots of visual imagery, excellent choice of words ('palpable', 'brittled', 'cacaphony'), as well as lines that appealed to the other senses, creating a more absorbing sort of experience through the poem. ^_^ Very cool!

Timid Angel
That sweetly innocent smile
Those large brown eyes
A face not meant to beguile
But the heart cannot lie
An ethereal elegance
A subtle beauty
Radiant like the sun
Yet soft like the moon
A voice like a gentle breeze
Sweet like the bee’s honey
A soothing tonic for any ailment
A tune for any occasion
A timid disposition
Like a shy young angel
Snowy wings lift her gently
Like the wings of a dove
Author's Note: Im running out of metaphors...heh.

Lol; no matter about running out of metaphors. It was really good. Great descriptions. I think the feel and imagery was really summed up in these two lines:
'An ethereal elegance
A subtle beauty'.

Author's Note: This is a bit of a deviation from my earlier poems, but nonetheless. I wrote it up today.
Heavenly Wonders
Wonders of all Creation
Made by my Father's hand
A sample of things to come
Oh, how He is to be praised!
The unending sky
Light or navy blue
Speckled with motes of light
Cosmic beings smiling down on me
Small green fingers
Reach out from beneath my feet
Covering the Earth
A soft bed
A gentle spring breeze
Tickles, carresses
Whispers in my ear
Cooling the fire of life
Azure liquid of the oceans
Cooling the wrold, causing the clouds
Falling from the sky to quench my thirst
Cleaning the dirt from my brow
Writing for all time
Using all the skills of the scribes
Every paper and parchment of history
Could never begin to describe Him
His creation speaks of His Greatness
Oh, praise Him, praise Him!

The One I Hold Dear
A dominant thought
Or a pleasant dream?
She causes my heart to soar
Quite like the majestic butterfly
An endeavor to win her heart
Like a noble mission of old
For the only cure for love
Is to love more
An angel’s eyes
To become lost in
Hands like the finest silk
To hold tightly
The butterfly she is
Carries more beauty than she knows
And it answers the question
Of whom I hold so dear

To One Whom
To one whom
The butterflies and flowers envy
And the sun dims in response to
To one whose beauty is a light of itself
To one whom the waves break
The birds sing to
And the rain refuses to fall on
To one whose beauty is so pure
To one whom the northern lights dance
The stars shine
And the moon smiles on
To one whose beauty is ethereal
To one whom I care about so deeply
That the drum of my heart beats to
And my eyes light up to
To one who makes me feel this way
Might you be the answer to a prayer?
Author's Note; Wow, three poems within a few days. That's a new record.

A Beautiful Dream...Made Reality
You must be my imagination
A dream made reality
Nothing of your beauty
Could exist in this world
A star on the Earth
A dream of endless worth
A flower of happiness
A gem of inestimable price
You speak to me with a voice like rain
Your smile is like the sun
A dream remembered
Is this all real?
Your eyes enchant me
Bottomless, sparking drops
Upon a face so gentle, so innocent
I once again doubt myself…can it be?
The air around you seems to quiver
Afire with a foreign emotion
The thoughts continue to come
Never ending, always continuing
And then you say those words
That snap me into reality
Causing me to know, without a doubt
That you are truly a dream come true

Time…
You manipulate time
Unknowingly lengthening the days
The days I do not get to speak to you
Those where I do not see you
Spending time alone
Restless, impatient, not knowing what to do
I count the days until I once more can see you
Willing time to flow faster
Feeling marooned
My boat stuck on a rock
Never in the rapids
Considering my options
And when the time comes that I do see you
No matter whether I see you for a day, or for a year
It all seems too short
Time moving too quickly
Do you feel the same way, I wonder?
Always looking forward to our next meeting,
Counting the days?
Even if I am alone, you are still with me
Floating in my dreams

Endless
Endless are the ways you appear to me
The sun, the stars, the sky
Always cause me to recall you
Endless are the times you come to mind
In times of rest or work
You are my motivation
My inspiration, my carnation
Endless are the days which I wish to spend with you
Laughing, crying, living
Enjoying each other’s company
Endless are the nights in which I want to see you
Casting away the darkness with your smile
Dancing under the moonlight
Happily being who you are
Endless is my love
Never giving up
Never running dry
Always here, always near
And always for you
