Firstly, I hope you don't mind that I note that when I saw 'mes poemes' I immediately thought: 'a title in French! Must... click.'
I love languages, especially French, so hence my extra desire to click.
Your first poem was great; I think the last verse was the most striking for some reason. At least, it was my favourite. A very beautiful ending, with a softness, colour and grace about it. Not sure quite why I see it like that, but it had that sort of an impression for me.
You're right, KB: the second poem is really incredible. Especially with what I noticed on the first verse: the way it seems like a joyful exclamation, the way it's formed and ends with an exclamation mark. Loved it!
No matter be the case
I want to be in her embrace
To look into those eyes
And be lost
On that last line I stopped and took a mental pause; I love that idea of being lost in someone's eyes, and hope someday to find that one for me whose eyes I love to gaze into.
Excellent poems, D2000, and all on a great theme. I really liked how they shared the same topic, but explored it differently.
