The Truth

More Poetry:

"The Truth"

Through every doorway
Down every hall
'Round every cornor
Amongst them all,
There lies a dreamer
There hides a dream
There be the truth that
Is not what it seems.

Past every image
Through every mind
In every mem'ry
It's there to find
That hidden truth
That followed me
To every mountain
And every sea.

In every airwave
In every store
In every graveyard
It's there and more
Still coming to me
This horrid truth
Will not forsake me
Yet you...aloof.

In every essence
Of every scream
It seems to beckon
It seems to gleam
It's horrid eyes
That shall see all
This horrid truth
Causes my fall.

From my sweet childhood
Unto my last,
But lovely schooling
It came to pass.
From "them" in lake lands
And further down,
To twenty theaters
It's there to crown,
This head of sorows,
This head of shame
That bears this horror,
This dream that came
A blessed gift,
Yet now a curse,
'Twas born in me,
And still grows worse.

Through every doorway,
Down every hall,
There sleeps a dreamer,
Who sees it all.

You know, it would be cool if you put all of your poetry into one big thread.

I like this poem. It has a nice flow and sounds... poetic.

I would like to hear some about what went into this poem.
