The Onset of Decay

"The Onsent of Decay"
In the hidden recesses of the mind,
It begins like a creeping avalanche.
Dislodges me and eats,
A bacteria slowly spreading to my soul.
Dread.
Each to his own, the feeling...
Then the signs in the sky:
Suddenly every place is destroyed.
You see it when the ants run from the hill,
The ones who swore to stay,
Abandon Royal Palm 20 and the house falls.
Relocation and suddenly the world
Is not familiar anymore.
And it spreads further from mind, house, theater,
Spreads further and further along it eats.
The darkness eating...
Taking away my destiny.
Shall we stand for this darkness?
Shall we stand?
Ah, brother and I, let's join hands!
Fight the darkness, fight the darkness...
It comes in waves,
The abyss of souls,
It comes in waves.
Hang on for dear life for it's not eating
Any longer, it is swarming.
It is washing over the clothes,
The screams, the wounds,
The shelterings..
Until you're left there naked,
Cold, and shivering.
Alone.
In the darkness.
It's eating...
Ever so slowly...
It's eating.
And then He turns on the light....
And you're left with the memory.
The memory that is eating...
In the hidden recesses of the mind,
It begins like a creeping avalanche.
Dislodges me and...
Eats...
