Blink

Crying at night,
Dying inside,
Wanting to be what you want,
Every day I try,
You tell me that I’m beautiful,
But prove it to be a lie,
I’m killing myself for you,
And you don’t even blink an eye.

Tell me, did you realize the pain you inflicted on me?
Tell me, when you looked at them, what did you see?
Tell me, are you sorry bringing me shame?
Tell me, do you feel guilty for defiling my name?
What do they have that I don’t?
What do they do that I won’t?
Tell me, what am I missing, what can I do?
Tell me how to change so that I can please you.

I Want To Be Your Everything



I’ve tried so hard,

To be what you want and need,

I’ve prayed so earnestly,

To become what you want me to be,

I’ve cried so many nights,

Because I can’t impress you,

Because I can’t interest you,

Because I’m weak.

All these tears,

All the sleepless nights,

I lay in my bed,

And dream I can be right for you,

I want to be your life,

The way you are life to me,

I want to be your sun,

The way you are to me,

I want to be your wife,

But it seems you don’t want me to be,

I just want to be what’s best for you.

Apple of your eye,

The dream you dream at night,

You’re most prized possession,

All these thing I long to be.

I hate myself for I am not what I want to be,

I hate myself for I am not what you want me to be.
