Before We Had Wings (another Haibane Renmei fic)

I wrote this in one day. Yep. I was fire-hot with inspiration. I've already had it beta read. My beta reader really liked it. I do want more readers for it before I submit this story to fansites, though, and I thought fellow Haibane Renmei fans here might like it.

I wanted to upload it to my fanfiction.net account, but there is a glitch tonight in the log in system and I cannot log in. I am quite displeased, but at least I got my file transfer protcol to work so I could put the story up on my server as an html file.

This particular fic has spoilers for the anime. I also rate it PG - PG-13. It is not a violent story at all. No nudity, no sex, no bad language, but it is... somewhat morbid. It's a sad fic, and, a bit morbid. I guess I can't really explain it without giving the story away. If you choose to read it, you'll see why I call it a morbid fic.

It is a prequel, of sorts, to the anime. Um... read, review, maybe?

Hey Haibane Shadsie...

Nice story...it's really depressing though, sniffle...well of course it's depressing b/c each character dies at the end of his/her little story, but good nonetheless. Each charrie died in similiarity to his/her dream, and Shorta's explanation actually does make sense. Maybe you could add some more entries on Dai (the little haibane who goes back to Abandoned Factory in the last episodes) and Midori (Hyouko's companion). I dunno what those names mean though. I'll check.

Do you write any other fanfics? If you do I'll be happy to read them if ya want. Hope you write more abt Haibane!

Yes, I do write more fanfiction. I started in Pokemon fanfiction (Yes, I can hear you groaning!) not into that anymore... I've done tons of Trigun fanfiction, and am still involved with that.... and I have another Haibane story. This is my second HR fanfiction.

I was thinking of doing Kuramori and Midori ("dark forest" and "green"), but decided not to. We don't really know too much about those characters. I don't know what "Dai" means. I suspect it has something to do with carpentry because he wanted to be a carpenter. If so, I suppose he might have died in some kind of carpentry accident.

I think that Dai means "big" which is kinda ironic b/c he is kinda small...

Hey I remember reading "To be Human in Glie" a while ago on fanfiction.net, which was perhaps the first good HR fic I've ever read...I didn't know you were the writer!!
