(I don't know where to put this, either Manga Mania or Book Corner, so I'm putting it here.)

I just looked in Barnes and Noble and discovered that Tokyopop is releasing light novels. I'm excited. Really, they're releasing FMP and Welcome to the NHK among others, and I'm convinced.

Is anyone else?

I think I've seen FMA novels, but I don't know if those are TokyoPop.

Sounds cool though; wish I could find one suited for me.

FMP Novels are TokyoPop. FMA I don't know about.

I personally enjoyed every page of the first Twelve Kingdoms novel. I can't wait for more. I also much enjoyed .Hack/AI Buster and .Hack/Another Birth.

I actually just picked up vol. 1 of the Kino No Tabi light novel the other day, and have been enjoying it thus far.

Now, if they'd just license Baccano!...

I guess I'd like to pick up Kino no Tabi, but the skulls on the front kind of shoed me away from it.

Please Princess Jessie-chan, if you have any wish to save our beloved land, you must read this novel. Don't judge it's cover, it's one of the greatest, if not the only, light novel I have ever read.

Or at least give it a try when you see it again. This is one of the best examples of an amazing story behind a sadly, unappealing cover.

I actually found the cover really interesting. XD I didn't even notice the skulls until later, because the first thing that caught my eye was the happy mother and child. Then I noticed they were sitting on skulls, behind barbed wire, even, and I was kind of intrigued by that. XD I guess it sort of fits with the theme of the novel, though--"The world is not beautiful, therefore, it is." Maybe, anyways. XD I thought it was kinda cool, though. XD

I read the first .hack/AI Buster and .hack/Another Birth novels and greatly enjoyed them, though I haven't picked up the others yet. I probably should at least finish Another Birth.

Flattery, eh? Well, if it's that good, I'll have to take a look into it. *is mostly worried about her mom seeing the cover but realizes that she can always say "don't judge a book by its cover," and hope that it works*

Either that or I can hope my library--or my school's library--has it.

I love the FMP novel. Especially since I'm a fan of the anime.

Is it better or worse than the anime in terms of content?

About the same. In fact, I like the show, so that's basically why I'm reading the novels. However Owaru Day By Day is on FMP Second Raid levels of content (that's because it's what TSR is based on).

The FullMetal Alchemist novels by Viz look really cool. Rurouni Kenshin Journey to the Moon World is pretty good from the little that I have read of it.

They made a Kenshin novel? *Must look into this, as the series sounded cool but a little too bloody*

They have, though from what I've seen, it's a side-story that has nothing to do with the plot of the manga. I tried to sit down and read it, but just couldn't--I'm far too used to the manga to only be able to read it in print. XD The anime is slightly more tame than the manga as far as violence goes (though there is still blood--just less of it), though, so if you're still interested, perhaps that could be a second option. :D

It could; I like the idea of a samurai giving up killing and trying to live a peaceful life.

Hey, the NHK novel isn't as bad as the manga. Even the manga isn't really that "explicit". It's just got a dirty subplot, and there's nudity but it's very undetailed. Think more the My Hime manga that Parakisu.
