I only wish I had known about this before I spent about a year collecting 28 volumes of Rurouni Kenshin. XD Granted though, the smaller sizes are far more portable, if more expensive in the long run.

And they licensed the Honey & Clover manga? I didn't really see that coming, though I knew the anime had been licensed.

I agree.

I'm surprised they touched the manga in all honesty.
Wasn't the anime far more popular?

I mean, the anime is all I've seen from it.

Improved price, but otherwise I'm not fond of the format. I saw them in a Barnes and Nobles a few weeks ago and they struck me as a bit unwieldy. 180-220 pages has always struck me as the appropriate size for most graphic novels.

What usually happens with paper back books is that they easily fall apart or the spine is obliterated. I'd rather have three mangas intact than falling apart in one neat package. Now if it was hardback, it would be better. Awesome even, if it was manga. :D

Del Rey Manga is already doing this, with Tsubasa, xxxHolic and Negima.

What's the pricing difference between the Del Rey and the Viz large mangas?
