i just bought volume 1 of planetes and its SO good!
i recomend it to everyone!
now im gonna hafta start watching the anime

I think I might've read an article about the Planetes anime in NTUSA. I remember my first impression of it was positive, but I don't remember what it was about. What is the plot/concept behind Planetes? Is the artwork in the manga good?

plot is there is a guy that is a trash man in outer space, but he wants to have his own ship, and hes trying to reach his goal, i personally love the artwork

This Manga ROCKS!!! seriously go out and buy it. It's a bit different to a lot of manga out there. Hey glitch 1501 do you have the Fansubs or do you know when the DVD is coming out. I still have to download the fansubs yet.

I just picked volume 1 up and alll I can say is wow! Personally I like the plot/characters a lot more than the artwork, but either way this manga rules! I too can't wait for the anime. I always watch dubs so I guess I'll have to wait a while since it's still airing now in Japan.

ive watched up to 23 on dubs, its incredible, there are some differences in the anime though, but its still great

How did you watch it dubbed? It's not been picked up by a US distributor yet has it? If it has, let me know who (Bandai, Geneon etc) so I can get it

Really? I haven't seen any that I remember yet, but then again I'm only halfway through vol 1. That's too bad since, from the plot I've seen so far, it really doesn't need anything to "spice it up" - I like it just the way it is. Thanks for the warning.
