CAA: Christian Anime Alliance

I have a question about how it ends,
Do the main characters [eve, sven and train] survive? The stories I've read where the main characters get killed have all been rather pointless and depressing. I don't need to know all the details but just if it has an overall negative theme/ending. I'm sorry if this is hard question to answer ^-^;
