CAA: Christian Anime Alliance

Are they illegal? And is there anywhere I can read about whether they are? No offense; it's just that some radio guy once told me recording off the radio was illegal, and after dumping many recorded tapes years later, I found out it wasn't, so I'm kinda skeptical.
