bands that are big now that were from your area

Aree there any big bands from orginated from your area?
I mentioned this before (just a few seconds ago) but Sanctus Real is from my area. My parents are good friends with Sarah (matt hammits wife) parents.
Also a band that just got signed was More then Electric.

Yeah there are a few, not really from San Antonio but from the Texas area in general. Eisley form Tyler, place is just a few hours from here. Oh Austin heroes And you Will Know us by the Trail of the Dead, great band. Oh Jesus, I can't seem to remember any other bands, I just know the Austin area is blooming with musical talent; they just haven't gotten big yet.

Caedmon's Call is from Houston; I've been to the lead singer's dad's chuch before. Don't know them personally though.
If any of you guys see a band called "Next Best Thing" this summer when they are on tour with Yellowcard and Linkin Park, those boys are from my hometown. I went to high school with them and knew one of them, Drew Thomas, pretty well when he was on my newspaper staff last year.

O.O Coby lives near Canton! whoooooa!! *bows down* Relient K is the cheese! ^.^
if any of you guys are into indie-rock bands, Ashley Stove and Superchunk are both from around here. They haven't made it big yet but it won't be long. They're really really good.
if we're talking movies/tv shows though, theres a gazillion that were from here. One tree hill, A walk to remember, Shallow Hal, Ya ya sisterhood was like 20 mins from my house, Dawsons creek, The Andy Griffith Show, Matlock, the Fugitive, uhh...theres alot more, I'll edit/post as I think of em. I wish we had as many bands come from here as we do shows n such. That'd be awesome. XD

Freddy Colloca is from around here
