Demon Hunter is a decent Nu Metal band (which to be is just an heavier version of Alternative Rock).
Ryan's growling vocals are-ahem...-original sounding.
I like his clean vocals alot more, but in all honesty:

GIVE JOSH SCOGIN THE FREAKIN DOVE AWARD!

Could Demon Hunter be considered somewhat Screamo or Death Metal?

If so, their probably the only Screamo/Death Metal band I actually like. It's not that I don't like the whole screaming thing, but I'm not really big on artists who scream the entire song...

That's why I like Demon Hunter, becuase they actually do sing when their not screaming (and they sound freakin awesome doing it)...

It'd be awesome if someone tried doing an acoustic or orchestrated tribute....

^ Agreed.

Also, Danderson, check out the acoustic version of the song "My Hearstrings Come Undone" by them. I got the song from the This Is Solid State: Volume 6 CD. ;)

Demon Hunter is NOT Death Metal.

Like not even close.

That's like saying Fall Out Boy is jazz.

Demon Hunter has their own interesting style of Alternative Metal.
