First of all, the title has a lot of words that start with 'f' in it, doesn't it? Second of all, if you haven't heard Family Force 5, check 'em out right now. Third, if you don't like FamFor5, you can't be my friend, and fourthly, this thread is for fans of the 5, or to discuss them and all that good stuff and blah blah.

Yay, fellow fans!
I agree, Kountry Gentlemen is a good'n........but after hearing it at least 60,000 times it gets just a tad old. Still a great song though. ^^ My fave of the moment is Replace Me. Or maybe Numb

FF5... good band. My music director at
ChargeRadio.com introduced me to them with "Kountry Gentlemen," and I thought it was sweet. Turned out being a pretty big hit for us.
"Replace Me" has already gone top 5 for us as well.

I was kinda disturbed by these guys when I first heard them interviewed, but they're growing on me. I might get their CD sometime...

Why were you disturbed? I haven't heard or read the interview that your talking about.

Maybe he means disturbed in a good way XD Because that can happen with these guys. Oh but they're downright hilarious so it's all good. I pre-ordered the CD, and I <3 it. My favorite tracks WOULD be Numb and Cadillac Phunque, but I've already heard them SO many times on the old demo I have that they just couldnt be my faves. Still GREAT songs though. My favorites were Replace me and Supersonic (probably because those are the only tracks I hadn't heard a million times already XD)

Lol sorry, I should have elaborated. It's just that they're so... unique. Nothing bad or offensive; just wierd. Like I said, I'm starting to like them. You can listen to the interview I was talking about
Here.
If that link doesn't work, look for them on the list
Here.

Oh, hahaha, well yep, they definetly are unique, and that's why I love dem.

That's what happened to me. I ended up selling it to a friend because I just didn't really dig it. FF5 is pretty good, but for me, their songs are just way too gimmicky. Replace Me, Numb, and Earthquake are all pretty cool, but the rest of the CD kind of flounders somewhere in nu-metal and rap rock purgatory. I do want to catch their live show, though. They seem like they would be a LOT of fun.

I have to agree with you Kkun...I haven't gotten rid of it but I just don't really listen to it that much...

I like these guys but they are a little too hip hoppy for me.
Don`t get me wrong, I like Rap but I think TobyMac is the only guy that passes with this style.
FF5 is okay though.

too hip hoppy? plz explain is it the screaming the distorted guitars? jk yea they do do some rap stuff but i can respect them for the reasons above. And plus there hip hop stuff is done so it pokes fun at the main stream hip hop culture which in my oppion is complet crap.

If you noticed they actually to some of the hooks off of some newer mega popular rap songs...Which regrettably I've been forced to listen to more than I'd wish. But yeah I also think that they are a little to hip hop. I was dissapointed because I thought that there would be a lot more screaming. Oh well. They're still good...Just not what I was expecting.

they use the hooks of other rap songs ...i didn't now this. I was hoping for something a little more screamo oriented also but still i love the fun attitude of the cd

Yeah, if they'd play up the rock side of their crunk rock but maintain a LITTLE BIT of that hip hop element, they'd be cool. I saw that they went on tour with Showbread and I was hoping for something similar, but I was a bit disappointed, as well. If their hip hop element was actually funny, that'd be different but sometimes it just comes across as trying to be funny but the joke falls flat.
Also, let's be honest, they sound more than a little bit like the disturbing and unnecessarily perverse band Mindless Self Indulgence. If they'd take that sound further, they would be about ten times more awesome.

Though I agree with you I think that we should let this get back to the original meaning...So fans of FF5 post all about them!

My friend who loves FF5 (I keep thinking of a 5th number of a certain video game series when I type that) came up to me and goes:
"Tom, the most cool line in a song is 'Hold up, Wait a Minute, Let me put some Love in it!' "
I just stared and laughed.
