The Most Beautiful Song

Postby Towi Wakka » Wed Nov 12, 2003 8:53 am

Recently I listened to a song on the radio by Jeremy Camp called "I Still Believe". Honestly, at first I thought it was to slow and almost boring; just another song. About a week later I listened to the lyrics and was touched. I personally think it is the most beautiful song ever. If you don't believe me listen to it! It isn't upbeat but it has a true meaning. I cried after hearing it several more times. Here are the lyrics:

Scattered words and empty thoughts
Seem to pour from my heart
I've never felt so torn before
Seems i dont know where to start
But its now i feel your grace fall like rain
From every fingertip washing away my pain

I still believe in your faithfulness
I still believe in your truth
I still believe in your holy word
Even when I dont see I still believe

Though the questions still fog up my mind
With promises i still seem to bear
Even when answers slowly unwind
It's my heart I see you prepare
But its now that I feel your grace fall like rain
From every fingertip washing away my pain

The only place I can go is into your arms
Where I throw to you my feeble prayers in brokeness
I can see that this is your will for me
Help me to know you are near

:sniffle: Isn't God awesome!? :)

Amen, He certainly is. It's neat how He brings us a song we really just feel close to Him with. That's how I feel about the song that's in my signature. It's one of those songs that are just the most beautiful. :)

[size=84][color=seagreen]YOU SEE

You see into the deepest part of me ---

beyond the fog I hide behind.

You cast your light upon the shadows

that stretch like cobwebs in my mind.

You ease the pain when I am hurting,

and morbid visions from my past

pierce into the realm of Reason

as though I danced on blades of glass.

You grant me strength when I have fallen

and, once again, I've lost my way.

You take my hand in Yours and lead me

into the promise of a brand new day.

You bring order to all my chaos,

yet set my well-laid plans awry.

You place me on a firm foundation ---

then give me wings so I can fly.

You sand away my roughened edges

and polish all the dullest parts

until I stand before Your presence...

a newly-sculpted work of art.

You see into the heart within me,

right through my motives and selfish will.

And yet, in spite of all You see

You say You love me even still.

Hold Me Now, by Jennifer Knapp on her cd Kansas.
the chorus is:
"I am weak, I'm poor, I'm broken Lord but I'm yours. Hold me now, hold me now."
