Looking for music..

Postby Sammy Boy » Tue Jan 17, 2006 7:07 am

Hi all,

I was wondering if anyone can recommend some music that sounds similar to stuff like Paul Coleman's (formerly Paul Coleman Trio), and Jody McBrayer's?

It doesn't have to be Christian, anything that sounds good and isn't too loud is fine by me.

Thanks in advance. :)

I don't listen to much of this sort of music, however I do have a couple of bands that might fit the Paul Coleman style.

The Kry (album What About Now)
PFR (albums Great Lengths and Them)
Headbangers United

Actually, Paul Coleman is joining up with a band. . . Newsboys, maybe? So if you like him, you can still hear him there.

Um, are you talking about the kind of style he sings? Or someone with a similar voice?
Be Thou my Vision, O Lord of my heart;
Naught be all else to me, save that Thou art
Thou my best Thought, by day or by night,
Waking or sleeping, Thy presence my light.

Be Thou my Wisdom, and Thou my true Word;
I ever with Thee and Thou with me, Lord;
Thou my great Father, I Thy true son;
Thou in me dwelling, and I with Thee one.

Be Thou my battle Shield, Sword for the fight;
Be Thou my Dignity, Thou my Delight;
Thou my soul’s Shelter, Thou my high Tower:
Raise Thou me heavenward, O Power of my power.

Riches I heed not, nor man’s empty praise,
Thou mine Inheritance, now and always:
Thou and Thou only, first in my heart,
High King of Heaven, my Treasure Thou art.

High King of Heaven, my victory won,
May I reach Heaven’s joys, O bright Heaven’s Sun!
Heart of my own heart, whatever befall,
Still be my Vision, O Ruler of all.

Thanks for the info Steeltemplar. :)

I just realised I spelt his name wrong. It should be "Colman" without the 'e'.

Yumie - If I had to choose one over the other, I'd pick his style first, then his voice. But honestly, if I heard songs with his style and yet the voice sounded differently, I am not sure if I'd like it.

Colman is joining up with the Newsboys? Do you know why the Trio split? Did they get bored or something?
