Hopefully he continues with music in some form or another.

That's awesome. I hope that he does get into a good christian band. Yeah I think that that is a sign that we should be praying for "dirty" artists such as Eminem and Marylin Manson to get saved instead of condemning them and saying only bad about them.

I'm rather impressed that he took a stand like that. I'm glad that the band was willing to part ways amicably with him, and perhaps he might be a witness to them later.

Well I know the lead singer Jon Davis has always been pretty kind towards Christianity. At least on a personal level.(There lyrics would not tend to show that...) His one kid is a Christian. (read this in a mag article a few months back) I was suprised how open to Christianity he was. Saying stuff like, if his children decide to have faith he would never squash that. I might be wrong but I think Davis' wife is a Christian. *shrug* I am glad to see the guy got saved. Hopefully Korn gets another guitarist. Rumors are already abounding of a soon pending breakup.

That's awesome news. I personally had prayed for Korn for a while there, but honestly I wasn't too hopeful for anyone in the band to actually get saved. Once again, awesome news, and I agree with you Steve, I hope he stays in the music business.

Well, I'm not a big "Korn" fan however I think this is great that he has given his life to Christ.

i'm glad he found christ, i hope he does continue with music,(it's been my experience that music is a hard thing to live without) and that korn can get a new guitarist soon i wouldn't want them to break up

I read on another site that he's going to be continuing in music, but apparently his faith will have an impact on this new music he helps make. I'm eagerly waiting to see what his next musical project will be.

It'd be cool if him and other secular-gone Christian metal artists form a band.

I never was a fan of Korns' music...it just wasn't my cup of tea but I do admire the guitarist for leaving the group and finding a new answer in Christ. It also was courageous of him to come up and show it to the masses.

This is truly awesome, I'm pleased with him. Thank you Lord for Your power and majesty. Welsh made the right choice.

Hey! Welsh could join P.O.D.! That would be SO AWESOME!! Wouldn't be really cool if he joined with them?

hope its for real a? and this will be a hard out eye opener for the
band and others, but personally i hope the band dosnt continue
cause that band made me depresse and with out the living father
i may not be here right now, but guys dont forget to pray even though
it seems impossible that the most unlikely people will come to the lord
but we can do all things through chirst who strengthens us (phl 4.13)
so keep praying :thumb:

I hope he gets involved in another band. I would hope he does not jump in some lame band though...a lot of Christian rock bands are kinda cruddy right now. Hopefully he can get something cool going.

POD are pretty horrible right now, so him joining them would be awful. (If you can listen to there new cd and disargee I pity you) As far as Billy Corgan....I don't think he is a Christian.

Shatterheart, I think POD aren't horrible now, just a lot different. I personally enjoy Snuff the Punk and BROWN the most. At first I didn't like the newest CD, but it grew on me and now its good, but my least favourite of the five POD CDs I have.

Snuff the Punk and Brown are both great. I love that underproduced thrash rap sound they had going back then. Fundamental Elements of Southtown is probably my favorite, but my interest in P.O.D. started waning with Satellite. Sonny needs to rap and scream more instead of trying to sing because...I don't think he can sing well, IMO. I still haven't listened to Payable on Death yet because Satellite disappointed me so much.

Well, it's not all strange to find Christian people who write for the masses...

Their music just has something else to them.

My addition: Lincoln Brewster worked with the former lead singer of Journey for a brief period of time. He's now making some awesome praise songs.

I have a feeling that this guitarist's going to do something. What that might be, I don't know.

I am pretty sure Brewster was in Journey before he was a Christian wasent he?

Good question. What I'm getting from the bio that's on his homepage is that he was a Christian and then he got the opportunity to work with Journey.
