Ah yes. I have one of her live songs, and while the accompaniment and melody are beautiful, I hate listening to it because I can't understand a word she's saying.

Cristina Scabbia of Lacuna Coil is better.

I hate to disappoint you, but Nightwish kicked her out of the band.

I was talking of the lead singer now actually. But wow I never knew she was once the singer of Nightwish you learn somethin new everyday.

Eh? Nightwish does not have a lead singer at the moment. The one you are referring to was kicked out of the band like a year ago or so (such a sad day that was *tear*). She has been the only singer of nightwish so far but they are currently looking for a replacement.

I actually like Amy Lees voice live. I have quite a few bootlegs of concerts and radio interview songs and such. *shrug* To each there own. Lacuna Coil needs to get rid of the guy that sings. He cannot carry a tune in a bag, and it only distracts from Cristina Scabbias beautiful voice.

My dad doesn't even allow me to listen to Evanescence. Or Black Sabbath, Three Days Grace, Pearl Jam, Seether, or Disturbed. It REALLY stinks.

Why not Evanescence? Tell him that while they started as a Christian band and are now not...the lyrics have never taken a foul turn. Origin, Fallen, and The Open Door are all lyricly clean.

Amy should make more songs like "Away from Me", which happens to be one of my favorites.
K. Ayato: What happens if you press the small red button?

*Explosion goes off in the movie*

mechana2015: Does that answer your question?

K. Ayato: Perfectly.

Wow.

Evanescence have some very openly devout Christians. And Black Sabbath were about exposing evil, not promoting it.

Well, unfortunatley, my dad sees them as a band that doesn't have a whole lot of uplifting messages. He also read that the band members for Evanescence were inspired by vampire movies when they were making The Open Door.

Also, I REALLY wish he would let me listen to Disturbed. I think Ten Thousand Fists is a christian album, and they have such an awsome hard rock sound.

Evanescence have an honesty that many Christians wish they had in music. They are dark and full of pain, but there is always a glimpse of hope. Songs shouldn't have to be happy, happy, joy, joy all the time.

They're much more uplifting (and HONEST) than some of this worship stuff I hear every day, that's for sure.

He also read that the band members for Evanescence were inspired by vampire movies when they were making The Open Door.

The movie "Van Helsing" inspired a single song. Otherwise, Amy writes solely about life experiences.

Close.

Disturbed's singer is actually an Orthodox Jew.

Oh so Evanescence was a christian band at first? I've heard rumors but never looked into it.

Ah that explains the song Prayer.

Upto everything but believeing that Jesus is the Saviour of the World. But since that's the essence of being a follower of Jesus, the answer would be yes but no.
