Funny Songs?

Does anyone else listen to bands like Threebrain or Group X here? How about Weird Al or Peter Alsop? You know, really bizarre silly song guys. I'm listening to "Poopies" by Threebrain right now, and no matter how many times I hear this song (well, at least the first two minutes of it. The last part is just nasty and uncalled for) I crack up. You can even hear him laughing in the background!

I keep cracking up at The Truck Got Stuck by Corb Lund and The Mermaid by Great Big Sea. The first one is about the exploits of a buncha ranchers that get stuck in the middle of an overly boggy prairie and the latter is about the relational issues one might encounter when courting a mermaid ^^

Her hair was green as seaweed, her skin was blue and pale,
Her face, it was a work of art,
I loved that girl with all my heart,
But I only liked the upper part,
I did not like the tail.

And then he meets a reverse mermaid and it all gets really, really creepy O.o

Weird Al is so funny! I also recommend Dr. Hook's Medicine Show.

Weird Al's "Star Wars Cantina" wins all.

Weird Al FTW. I don't know why, but I compulsively listen to "Eat It". It reminds me [satirically, not literally] of my mom.

By the by. . . what do you think about songs like "Amish Paradise" and "Pretty Fly for a Rabbi"? Do you have a problem with them? I like the musical element of AP, but I don't know about the lyrics [one line in particular].

I don't think there's really any harm in that or any other Weird Al song, but as for me, I can only take him in small doses.
I love Spike Jones and his City Slickers. They did some classic silly songs. Especially "Der Fuhrer's Face". That one cracks me up. "Ven der Fuhrer says, 've ist der master race', ve heil *pbhht*, heil *pbhht* right in der Fuhrer's face. Not to love der Fuhrer is a great disgrace, so ve heil *pbhht*, heil *pbhht* right in der Fuhrer's face."

I really don't have a problem with either of those songs. I don't know what line youre referring to but from what I remember, they're all in fun. Unless you mean they would be offensive to God and not to a particular belief system but I don't remember any thing like that.

Has anyone seen weird Als "interviews" with like Justin Timberlake(sp?), Celine Dion, Eminem amoung others?? Those are so fricken hilarious! LOL! They have a few episodes on Youtube I think.

Speaking of Weird Al, he has a free song for download on his website. It was supposed to be released on his new album but the original artists record label says he can't release it even though he had the original artists blessing on the song. Legally he could releas it on his album but he doesn't want his lable and the other guys lable clashing in a lable war or something, he just decided to post it free on his site :D

Its quite funny. Its a parody of "Youre Beautiful" called "You're Pitiful"
