Secret tracks

Postby Ssjjvash » Sat Aug 14, 2004 4:35 pm

Ya' know the music and/or talking past the end of a cd? I was just wondering what everyone's favorite secret track was.

Mine is Five Iron Frenzy's Quantity is Job 1 where, after like 6 minutes of nothing, they come outta' nowhere and play around and stuff.

I love secret tracks! They is so fun!
If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone
And so hold on when there is nothing left in you
Except the Will which says to them: 'Hold on!' ...you'll be a Man, my son!

The only one I know is on Sheryl Crow's "The Globe Sessions" if you wait on the last track, there's another song. I think it's called "Subway."
Think happy thoughts.

Mine would either have to be the Pants Opera as ssjjvash said at the end of Five Iron Frenzy's Quanity is Job 1. They do a whole bunch of genres where they sing about pants.

And the other one I really like is the bonus track on Haste the Day where it's a 7 minute long instrumental/techno song. I plan on doing a music vid of this to "Voices of a Distant Star".

I really like the hidden track on The End Is Near(the one packaged with The End Is Here, not the standalone) by Five Iron. It's a good 30 minutes of stuff cut from the final live album.

I also like the hidden track on Brave Saint Saturn's The Light Of Things Hoped For. It's like groovy space rock or something.

Then, there's Phatbat at the end of Blindside's A Thought Crushed My Mind. Very good stuff. Hidden tracks are great...

Healing hands of God have mercy on our unclean souls
once again. Jesus Christ, Light of the World, burning
bright within our hearts forever. Freedom means love
without condition, without beginning or an end. Here's
my heart, let it be forever Yours, only You can make
every new day seem so new.

A splitting brow forced by the thorns
His face is writhing with the pain yet it's comforting to me

Put Disc 3 from the PC version of Final Fantasy 8 into a regular CD player and it'll play "Eyes on Me." ^_^ (But that's no secret; you all knew that, right? ^_~ )

 the Relient K one is awesome. Also, there's one on Sanctus Real's album which is like a parody on metal music (dunno if that's exactly the genre) that's pretty hilarious.

Too true...

Oh, there was this band--Tragedy Ann--who at the end of their album played around and sang Taco Tuesday. That was pretty funny!

Relient K has a hidden song on all of their albums (I think).

FM Static has one on their album as well.

Tool - Undertow. The hidden track is wierd.
"Relax, turn around, and take my hand." Tool
"Heir Kommt Die Sonne." Rammestein
"Now the world is gone, I'm just one. Oh please God help me." Metallica
"Are You Ready?!?" KoRn
"All and all your just another brick in the wall." Pink Floyd.
