this is the latest piece i've done...did it last year. haven't picked up the pencil for quite a while
. anyway, it's my anime rendition of jrocker Shiina Ringo. I saw her on the cover of an August issue of Time magazine and I thought I could use her as a subject. Digital ink and color, ps7. comments would be welcomed and fully appreciated. thanks!
...and yes, the hand IS horrible. XD XD

I have no idea who this Shiina Ringo person is, but it looks good and pretty well detailed. I give it 8 stars. ^_^

That person probably meant, "I can't hurt anyone with that type of weapon!" Personally, I'll like to know how that weapon works.
Looks like a pencil job, do you ink? ^^ I think the face and body proportions are good. Nice folds and layers on the clothing...If you want to improve in clothings, check out Nobuhiro Watsuki-sama's Rurouni Kenshin. Great job!

Like an Axe is my guess, or a Swiss poleaxe...spear/axe.
Pretty cool drawing!

the person who said i overdid the weaponry said that he wasn't sure what the guy was going to do with the katana...probably shave off his opponent's moustache, he said. XD
anyway, i based the larger weapon from an ancient Chinese pole arm...i'm not sure what it's called in English, but yes, its use is similar to the generic French pole axe...only i embellished it a bit more by adding another blade to the original Chinese weapon. ^^;;
yup, i do ink by hand, but i scan them very rarely since i end up being very unsatisfied of them. XD still have to learn to control my texturing. and yeah, nobuhiro watsuki's style has been my model for a long time, but i'm trying to move away now and develop my own style. ^^
thanks for the comments, guys! (the people here are so supportive...i like XD)

Thanks, Aka-chan, elfinjedi. ^^
Scanned some new sketches...
The first one's a male angel. I decided to do away with the stereotypical halo and wings and instead tried to make him as angelic as possible by his posture, build, and facial expression only. If I stop feeling so lazy, I'd probably ink and color him on Photoshop, but as of now, he's keeping to being pencil work only.
The second one's a quick sketch of an ogre of some sort, I'm still not quite sure. Anyway, I tried to make him look frightening but he just ended up looking like a big idiot with a mis-aligned jaw that's missing a mouth.

Whoa, it's about time I checked out your stuff. ^_^ Great work, Swordskill! I've noticed you're a really talented young lady. I'd like to see more of your artwork. Don't you write also?

Thanks, noir_chloe. ^^ Glad you like my stuff. Yeah, I write too...a lot more than I draw, actually, lol.
New stuff...
I hate the way the legs turned out (my hands shake when I ink, ergo the "rocky" legs), but otherwise I really like the way it turned out. Makes it look like a cover of a manga. Original, used PSP7 in coloring and manipulating. It's called (obviously) Urban Amazon, and I think it pretty much explains itself. ^^
