How do you cure boredom?

How do you cure boredome? It could be real helpful for me right now. The only way I can think of curing it is making a maze ouof salt and making a slug find a way out. If he doesn't, i'll pour salt on him. If he does make it out, i'll set him free with his other buddies who survive.
Man I'm sick.
Let me know of anyways to cure boredom other than animal cruelty.

Play video games. Draw. Surf the Net. Talk to people on AIM. These are the things I like to do when bored.

How about watching anime or reading manga? Although the slug thing actually sounds entertaining...

lol, those poor poor defenseless slugs. Well I usally get a ball or something bouncy and throw it at my walls and see how long it takes before my parents come in and take the ball away. After that then I watch grass grow..... it is really interesting once you add drama to it. Either that or play games whatever I am in the mood for

Watch paint dry. It's fascinating. It is once you're good and stoned off of the paint fumes, anyway. ^_~ I kid, I kid.

Try making a video game. It's kept me busy for the last 11+ years.

Hey, PumpkinKoRn52, weren’t you telling me of a Sci-fi novel you were thinking of writing, a long time back? Start on that and spare the poor slug. You can also post your idea and story in the writing section of this very forum.
I normally find this site useful when I'm bored...
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Main_Page - Metal Gear Solid and Final Fantasy are actually list in there, go ahead search it.

Drawing... I just.. draw.
And paper folding. I have thousands of "lucky stars" every where in my room. What's best is to smush them all when you're done, fold them again, smush, fold, smush...
Best of all they're not alive. o__o Poor slugs! But, I wouldn't mind doing that to leeches! T W T

Try drawing a manga or writing a story for one, or just a story period...you know many great authors ideally drew their storylines as a result of sheer boredom. Music, video games, movies those are all things to keep you occuppied, try making a web site or a music/anime video. And then there is always the proverbial undertaking of what MelodyMaker said...video game designing. Geez, what a lot of time, 11+ years.

go see your friends...
if that's not possible, go for a walk and make new ones...we're social creatures for a reason. but if you're physically unable to move or something, study, learn an instrument, make a website. there's plenty to do.

I take evil think pen and good think pen and let them fight for my mind. Sometimes evil lose and I think happy stuff. Other times good pen lose, and I think homicidal thoughts. Sometimes both lose and I think happy, homicidal thoughts. That doesn't happen too many times.
Its late, I feel stupid, so deal with it.
EDIT: Kidding...

Well since reading manga, watching anime and surfing the web is kind of routine I prefer other things when I am really bored...
Play soccer with friends, play pool, BMX, go to gym... things like that

Watching grass grow > watching a game of cricket.
So go watch a game of cricket. You'll learn just how un-boring life really is compared to a game of cricket, and never be bored again.

If you really want something fun and time-consuming, learn a tabletop wargame like Warhammer Fantasy or Warhammer 40,000. Take the time to study the rule book, then read through the codex for your chosen army. After that, you can decide on which units will make up your army.
Then comes the really fun part: start actually building your army by buying the core troops (basically, a couple units of infantry and a commander), so that you can start playing some games. Of course, you have to assemble and paint each model in your army, which takes a great deal of time. To give you some idea, a moderately sized force contains between 50 and 100 models, including infantry, vehicles, HQ, etc. It takes roughly 30 minutes to 2 hours to paint each model (although smart players will paint several at the same time
). That should keep you busy for quite some time.
Finally, once you have your army (or just a small part of it, provided you buy to core troops first) painted and battle-ready, you can start playing. If none of your friends play, you can undoubtedly find opponents at your local hobby stores. Better yet, you could get your friends into the game as well
.
If you want more information on Warhammer Fantasy/Warhammer 40,000, you can visit their official website:
http://us.games-workshop.com/ When you're ready to start playing, you can purchase everything online:
http://store.us.games-workshop.com/storefront/store.us If you want to know more about Warhammer 40,000 (A futuristic, sci-fi game), you can visit the following site:
http://us.games-workshop.com/games/40k/default.htm If you prefer Warhammer Fantasy (standard swords and sorcery), you can visit:
http://us.games-workshop.com/games/warhammer/default.htm The parent company (Games Workshop) makes several other games, including a Lord of the Rings wargame, a starship combat game, and various spin-offs of the first two games.
In case you're wondering, I play Warhammer 40,000. I just started a few months ago, and I am have a lot of fun with it. wargames are great, because they combine competition, art, strategy, and sci-fi/fantasy.
Disclaimer: Playing tabletop wargames may be hazardous to your wallet. And no, I don't work for Games Workshop; I just really like their games.

Video games, friends (nothing like being bored WITH someone! Trust me.), learn a new skill (dancing, sewing, wood working, a sport), do house work (your parents will love you), rearrange your room, paint, computer, give your neighbor a break and offer to do yard work or babysit her kids, read, volunteer somewhere. You're as busy are you allow yourself to be.

Play video games. Bored with that -->play the computer. Switch from one to the other until I'm bored with both and then I'd do other things: draw, sew clothes for my dolls, housework. I don't draw as much at home because I'm too busy "exercising my thumbs" (playing v-games). I mainly draw when I'm bored away from home (i.e. work). My only two good friends are miles away from me and no one uses their Yahoo messenger as often over the summer. And on very VERY rare occasions when I'm bored, I take a nap.
Of course, I'm the type of person that has to be in the mood to do certain things. I would love to learn how to program my own game but that would require reading a manual...and purchasing expensive software...

Like melody maker, I enjoy making games, although starsheep seems to get less and less fun all the time!

When I'm bored, I try to right my poetry, featured at ktm52drummer.deviantart.com, or I play drums or video games. Altho all can get boring but drums. So I just answered my own question. I might try to right that book though.

Hey this reminds me of that commercial with the guy who was surfing the internet nonstop. He's sitting there clicking away when suddenly a pop-up appears informing him that he has reached the end of the internet. I thought it was funny...but it actually happened to me a couple of times: I searched and searched for stuff on the web so much that I finally ran out of things to look up. Talk about bored...
