Have you renamed your desktop icons? LOL

I renamed Internet Explorer "Internet Exploder," MSN Explorer "MSN Exploded," MSN Money "MSN Costs Money," WordPerfect "WordImperfect," and I renamed a few others that I can't think of right now (since I'm not on my own PC)
Has anyone else done this? Yeah, it's silly, but it's kind of funny. I'm thinking of naming "My Computer" as "Oh No Not Again" (lol, because almost the only time I click that icon is when something's wrong and I have to make an attempt at finding out what and where it is)

LOL! I've done that lots. There are also tweaking programs such as XTEQ Setup that allows you to change the title bars of programs such as Internet Explore and so on. The number of programs that you can use the tweak on is limited though. There's also a way to rename 'My Computer' (not sure if you can do this already in WinXP though).

I renamed the start menu in WinXP to say 'DNWM$' once. I had to hack the kernel a bit, but it was quite fun, to say the least. Oh. And I moved the Dock on my OS X box to the top of the screen because it was bugging me. In the process, I changed the title of all the icons that it displays.

No, I don't do that a lot. I did change the title of everything don't use but can't delete to gibberish and put it all in a folder titled "Useless Junk."

On the comp at "work" I named Internet Explorer "is for evil" Get it? The icon is an "e", so..."e is for evil"....yeah. I once renamed My Documents..."These are not my documents" because I never kept my stuff in there ^^;; I renamed some other stuff too but I can't remember.
Heh, my boyfriend has his Network Neighborhood named "The 'Hood" ^^; and his My Computer is named "The Box", and his IE is named "An unspeakable evil" XD He's so cool.
I've been thinking about this for a long, long, long, long, long, long, long time.

My Power Mac G4 is named "Bryan" (after Bryan Stearns, one of the creators of the Macintosh Finder).
When I run Virtual PC, which lets me run Windows 98 in a window on the Mac, the icons are as follows:
My Computer => Darth Bryan
Outlook => Bleak Outlook
Internet Exploiter (should be obvious)
Network Neighbourhood => Other Computers Infected With Windows (usually too long to fully display)
I also make a point of doing this as a random act of vandalism on most PCs I use.

Ok, that's a cool factor that Windows just doesn't have... i'll concede there... Man, I wish I could do that. I CAN get a Japanese windows on my system, but I think I'll wait till I'm a bit more proficient in my Japanese...
I finally got all of Hiragana memorize, I just hope learning Katakana doesn't screw me up.

Just a note: gravedigging is highly frowned upon... but the user that did the gravedigging in this case realized that, and so there is no blame on anyone. Perhaps this thread can accomplish something once again.
