Ever been confused for some one else?

Ever been confused for some one else? Famous or Not.
When my hair was longer, the kids at the camp I used to work for used to call me Dawson, from Dawson’s Creek. I had never seen the show, so I had no idea what they were talking about. But it was humorous non-the-less.
When I used to work at Applebee’s, People always thought I looked like Steve, ‘The Dell Guy.’
That’s it for me. However, my father-in-law has been confused for Richard Drifuss (don’t know how to spell that) many times. One lady actually followed him for 20 min, pestering him for his autograph.

Around my area I am constantly called Stuart (my brothers name), but my brother and I look absolutely nothing alike! And we're total opposites in personality!!!!
It really gets under my skin.

I've been called both my brother AND SISTER'S name before...
Also, my friends say I look like Matt Thessien from Relient K.

Peopel at school used to say I looked like Christian Bayle (as he appeared in American Psycho
).
Other than that, I am sometimes mistaken for my uncle. We have similar personalities, but don't really look that much alike.

First off, growing up with the most popular girl's name of the latter 1980s--Ashley--yeah I was always confused for someone else. In fact, if someone says "actually" I'll still answer "what?" because I think they're talking to me.
I've also been confused for my mother quite a bit.
Looks wise, people tell me I look a lot like Natalie Portman. *shrug*

Oh, you poor boy!
That's ok, at least no one gets us confused on the phone anymore since your voice changed a couple years ago.
(Good thing for me!)
However, I get called by my mother's name a lot - especially by the older people at church. It used to really bother me when I was younger, but it's not big deal now. I've heard that trying to tell us apart on the phone is next to impossible, though. It's rather funny, even my dad will keep us talking trying to figure out who's on the other line.
Me: Hello?
Dad: Hi ... what's going on?
Me: Not much ... *waits*
Dad: Oh. Um ... uh ...
Me: It's me, Dad.
Dad: Oh, ok!

Once, I got 2nd place in a spelling bee and some lady went up to my best friend in the school library and told her she did a good job in the spelling bee. I don't look that much like her...

My mother. I make older relatives cry because of that (she died in a freak accident about 4 years ago), and it bothers me because I've tried for so long to be nothing like her.
*shrug* It's the chip in my shoulder.
O_o And then once as Wendy from that new live-action
Peter Pan movie.
I was walking into the theater with two friends when these little kids walked out with their parents after a showing of
Peter Pan, and saw me out in the parking lot.
It was dark out so they couldn’t see that my hair was shorter and much,
much, more darker then the real actress’, but that didn’t stop them for asking for my autograph.
So I signed their popcorn bucket.

People always used to confuse my brother and me on the phone... I once had a whole conversation with my mother on the phone thinking I was my brother and she didn't beleive me when she got home and I told her she had been speaking to me. People always think Lynx and I are sisters and we don't look that much alike, it sort of wierds me out.

Over the phone people confuse me with my mom, which really gets irritating after a while. I've also had people tell me: "You remind me of my old friend *insert name here*" which actually could be a bad thing - you really don't want more than one Kokoro Daisuke for more than one reason. =p

My parents often confuse me and my sister. ^_^ Dad gave up trying to remember our names long ago and came up with nicknames for us. G-money, me, and Trixie, my sister.
My old Spanish teacher used to get me and another girl mixed up all the time. We used to look a little alike, I guess.

My mom is always calling me Rick or Gary or prince (our dog) or, though I thankfully haven't gotten this one for a while, sugar (our dog that died when I was six...) She always does that, and she calls Rick Gary or Luke or Prince or whatever too... And, then she'll call the dog the name of all of her children before she gets to the right name...
As for other people, I've been called "josh" a lot. It was likely because up until I graduated from Highschool, I was always with one Josh or another, and even had a Josh for a roommate afterwards, though the one who called me Josh the most said I looked like either a Josh or a doug... *shrug*

I can be confused for my brother on the phone by his friends, but that takes a lot of effort on my part to use his normal vocabulary instead of my own.
For example, if I answer the phone to one of my brother's friends with "What's Crackin'?" they with think that I'm my brother. If I answer it with "Hello" they will know it is me, and then know to ask for Jason.
I had fun with this once or twice, but don't have much desire to try it any more.

Accidentally, no. I'm pretty distinctive in my own way.
Deliberately, yeah. I had random truck drivers and security guards calling out "San Cai!" to me (San Cai's a female character in a Taiwanese soap opera, played by Barbie Xu). It was rather scandalous (I was half-afraid they would whistle or something) and not exactly something I'm very fond of. Thank goodness it's over and people have finally gotten over MG and have moved on with their lives. //mutters// And I do NOT look like San Cai / Barbie Xu because I'm way taller than she'll ever be, for one thing.
Oh, and some people over the phone think I'm a guy, which, I think, is completely horrible.

Saint Kevin mentioned phone calls and that reminded me--my sister has a very distinct way of answering the phone. Namely, "Hi Papa John's Pizza what's your favorite color?" Which, is great for her friends when they call (in our house that's 98% of the time) but when my friends hang up and apologize...well then Ash and Susie have a nice talk

Could be worse Zilch. My mom gets so confused sometimes that she calls me by the dog's name. Other than that, I really don't get confused with any one.

I always get confused for my sister or my mommy on the phone. But my younger sister is taller than me and she has a baby smile (the same smile as when she was in preschool!!). ^_^ But people still think we're twins! At taekwondo, everyone calls us the "Two Sisters" cuz we look alike and we always do our forms in exact unison. Kinda funny, but I like to be individual most of the time.

Well. My brother's name and my name are SO MUCH a like. Sometimes my mom calls for my brother and i come (me and my brother have a problem with this.) . Or she accidentally says my name and she means my brother..
It's really funny.

Me... Well, not really.
I was only confused for a chair though, I guess. I was on a boat (very seasick) and trying to sleep on a bench, when some guy sat on my head, thinking I was a pile of clothes or something. Umm... Ok that almost seems off-topic. Oh well, I said it anyway.
My family tells me I look like Kuwabara from YuYu Hakusho when my hair isn't spiked, and when my hair is spiked, my family and a couple other people I know have told me I looked like Vash the Stampede from Trigun. I don't think I've even actually been mistaken for a real person though.

The principal of my highschool would always ask me how my field hockey games were, but he was mistaken, of course ^_^;. I had the same name as another girl in my grade and we looked somewhat similar, but I think that she looked more like my cousin than me.
People confused us every so often, but not all the time.

I haven't really . . . although someone once told me that from a certain angle, I kinda reminded them of Alfred Molina . . . I took that as a compliment, he was cool in Spider-Man 2. I'm somewhat proud not to be mistaken for anyone else.
Although, up until recently, telemarketers have called me "ma'am". I wanted to reach through the phone lines and strangle them. I don't have a girly voice at all [it's slightly deeper than average, which wrecks my singing range, although my range is similar to Hyde from L'arc~en~ciel's [although he can probably hit higher notes than I can, and definitely sing them better and look hotter doing it], so it's not all bad]. But they don't anymore ~ YES.

There's another guy at my store - who I don't think looks anything like me - but everybody else does for some reason. Even though I'm in a department way back at the store, I STILL have people call me by his name.
I have also been known to occasionally cosplay as one of these people:
