Our Church's senior praise team is going to Arkansas in October, to another church to sing...and give Testimonies...
They're suppose to present the church with a present or something, so my dad asked me to do a painting...
It's theme has to do with praising God and spreading the Gospel through song, and I could use some help...
Please, any advice, ideas, or sites with references would be helpful!

Hmm ... depending on the kind of painting you do, a symbolic picture with light and shadows might work. For instance, you could have someone praising (or something representing praise) with light around them, and the light casting off on others around them ...

ooh this is a toughie.
"What sybolizes song?" is the first question that comes to mind.
Lets see.. . Hymn books, Birds, streaming light, sheesh now I can't get birds out of my head... birdbrain that I am... Piano's,
oh!! plot gopher!! You could do something with something singing, bird/person/whatever and have a kind of faded bubble thing with some sort of Gospel scene up in the corner. This would make it as though the song itself is bringing the Gospel to life.
Out of ideas for the Gospel scene, but lambs and the good shepherd come to mind.
I don't know if any of this helps, and I hope that I am not going out of your painting skill zone. God be with you!

A friend of mine did a paint of hands, just hands, all raised in worship. That was pretty cool. Might want to try that.
