Happy Father's Day.

I could not find an earlier thread about Father's Day. So, I decided to create one.

I just want to say to all the good fathers out there (including my father) that I wish them a Happy Father's Day, and that I appreciate what they are doing for their families.

If anybody has anything positive to add about his/her father on this day or what they plan to do, please share it.

For my dad's gift today, I played him part of a song called "Early One Morning" on the ocarina I got yesterday. Since I didn't really know how to play, I figured out the right sounding notes myself, and practiced all day. He didn't even know I even got an ocarina (two actually. Both with different octaves, however you spell that word.)!! My mom and I bought them at a homeschool convention. Well I have to get to church now.

YAY!!! Happy Father's Day!!! I lubb my daddy soOoo much!!! Me and my siblings have to wait til he gets back from soccer practice to give him his present!! We all pitched in to get him a gray, complex-ly designed, summer button-up shirt!! It's not very original to some, but we felt that we needed to get him that since he's so picky about his clothes!!!

Anyway, do we have any fathers around here?? I thought we did..But Happy Father's Day to you too!! Even though some fathers don't publicly show their love for their families, it's obvious to see in the way that they work so hard to keep their families alive and I never fail to see that everyday. I'm so glad there's a day to appreciate our fathers!!! :jump: Yay!!!!!

An especially happy birthday to the fathers here on CAA, of whom there are not many. Rev. Doc is, and true_noir_chloe and children can tell her/his husband/father happy father's day.

Myself, I very much enjoyed this da. At this moment my father is reading, which is what he honestly wants to do. As such, I am utilizing this time here, as the rest of my day has been absorbed by church activities and other events that relate to today's theme.

Father's Day has always had a sad shadow surrounding it for my father. Without going into detail, I will say that my grandfather on his side was the opposite of an example of a loving father. Because of various issues, my father always feels today in a strange way. Worse, he fears that he is like his father; all of our family attempts to convince him otherwise.

The very best Father's Day to the fathers on CAA, and I had a great time with mine. :)

 I didn't see my father today because he's on a business trip, so I gave him his present before he left.

So everyone go hug their dads right now because I can’t…

:eyebrow: why are you still reading this?! YOU! HUG! NOW!

This was a rather unfortunate father's day for me. I didnt manage to get my dad a gift, and even though I designed a card for him, he'll have to see it on the computer as I cant print it out with our lousy printer :P To make matters worse, I messed up the computer today while I was making it (although that wasnt really what led me to cause the problem) and he had to fix it, which was obviously not what he wanted to be doing! On top of all that I had a runny nose today from allergies. Oh well.. at least the family went fishing like he wanted us to, even if the many, many spiders scared me away from the rocks they were fishing on after a while. (still dont see why we couldnt relocate to the grass  )

It's not in my family's culture to celebrate such events but I did email my dad, wishing him "Happy Father's Day."

Eventhough I had issues with my dad in the past, I respect and love him just the same. I try not to worry but my visa just expired, which means, I'm trapped in the U.S for the next 1 1/2 years. May God protect and bless my dad, mum, brother and auntie, health-wise especially. It sucks to be away from home. *homesick*

> my visa just expired

Why do you need a visa to go back? Aren't you still a Malaysian citizen?

I took my father's work key, snuck into his office (on Saturday) and left a belated Father's Day message on his computer. By this point he has probably seen it, because his entire office runs Macs and I set the document right in the center of his desktop...

Too often we forget about our fathers/mothers directly after their day. At times I have seen people who were loving a day before now acting most unchristian. It is a terribly sad thing...

I just went shopping with him cause we had to take a thing back to best by.

But he did say that I made it a lot more fun, I feel like a bad person....I'M SUCH A IDIOT! :(

I didn't even know that it was fatherday yesterday, I'm so dumb..... :sniffle:

Sam*ron, I did not create this thread for anyone to feel guilty about this. I see no reason for you to beat yourself over this, and I doubt your father wants you to do that. I am sure that he appreciates the love and attention that you give him.

Yesterday was a just day set aside to just bring attention to fathers. That is it. No one is horrible for honestly forgetting about a day like that. What is important is that you appreciate for what your father has done for you, and you express your appreciation to him... regardless of which day it is.

I had a good Fathers Day and I know my dad did to but our grandparents were here (my dads parents) and i couldn't really spend time with him like i was hoping, but atleast he liked the presents^^.

My mom got him a devotional book for his trip, my brother got him a Fathers Day mug that says "Blessed is the mon who perseveres under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love Him. James 1:12"
and i gave him a little statue of a sailboat that says "The man who walks with God always gets to his Destination."

OT: I can leave the U.S but I can't get back in. I could wait for the Optional Practical Training Working Visa, which I'll apply for next year but that may also take a while to process. Either ways, I can't leave U.S at all until early next year if I wanna get back in. ^^;;;

I forgot that we do have some fathers in CAA. Happy Father's Day to you, Rev. Doc.!

Oh, I'm sorry. I guess you are right, I think that I made his day better by going shopping with him, so thank you. You made me feel batter.

Sorry about the self bashing :hits_self , somtimes I just feel I have to do it.... :brow:
