I just got down working at a place without air conditioning. It was so hot an dmuggy and humid I almost died...and I got home ot more hotness, muggy, and humidness. My mom refuses to turn on the air condition..and she's cleaning the entire hosue so I'm wading through garabage which makes the mugginess and humidness worse.

Yes, the temperature here makes me unhappy too. Our air conditioner runs ALL day but it's stays 82 degrees in our house. Dad doesn't want it to be set too low which makes the nights very uncomfortable to sleep through.

most houses dont have ACs where i live, cuz if you calculate degree days or whatever it is they do, we dont have any days of summer....

Must...resist...calling...people...whining...babies...

Anyway, it has been hot and humid here for the past few weeks, and it is unlikely that that will change anytime soon.. I work (manual labor) in a warehouse without air conditioning, so it is quite hot. I don't have air conditioning at my house, so it's hot there.

Here are a few things that you can do to keep the temperature down in your house:

1.Turn off the lights. This will save electricity, and lower the temperature.

2.Use a fan in one place rather than running an air conditioner in the whole house.

3.Wear less clothing. Seems like a no-brainer, but I know there are a few of you out there who insist on wearing heavy pants all summer. If you do this, don't complain about the heat. :P
