CAA: Christian Anime Alliance

My mom recently joined a homeschool forum and has been asking me for help. I've made her an avatar and offered a few pointers, but she still seems really frustrated that she's not making friends right away and doesn't know what to say. She's being a little grumpy right now...and the frustration is rubbing off on me. Anyone have some advice?

Explain the concept of bieng a n00b to her

Anyways, tel her just to keep posting and through this, gain the respect of the forum members. After a hundred or so posts, you'll gain some friends and recognition.

it took me bout 200 to feel that I belong here. Took me a while to make friends that I talk to on a regular basis (well...im a anti-social person as it is).

And some forums are different. Like they're lynch and tar and feather you if you're a N00b while others welcome you with delight.

You can go to a site called http://www.donnayoung.org and click on a link on the right side of the page that says "homeschool forums" or something like that. My mom's username is school2.

Not very creative. Hooray! Now I can complain all I want about her lame username...she's at a brunch right now. I'm really mean...
The people are nice there, I think the problem is that she's never used a forum before. I made her an avatar, but it's really lame because it took five minutes to make. The whole time she was telling me to hurry up...
I tried to play around with it a little bit, but she didn't like it when I tweaked the colors and put some scanner lines and brushes on it...meep. I need to stop complaining.
