I was wondering what people were doing for thier mommy's on Mother's Day. I'm making brownies for my mommy! It's my first time making them so I'm hoping they turn out well. ;)

I hope your brownies turn out to be tasty for your mommy, christiangirl.

It is kind of hard to do something for my mother since she mainly is concerned about getting work and various errands done and rarely indulges herself. What my father and I did was got a few nice cards for her, bought some of her favorite chocolates, bought some simple take-out food so she does not have to cook, and watch a movie (she is probably more crazy about movies than we are about anime).

Oh yeah, ice cream.

Simple, but she seems happy.

Oh, no.... :(

I forgot to do anything. But then again Mother "ordered" me not to get her anything.
I don't plan on taking that literally.

My sibs and I bought her some Godiva chocolates and a bottle of her favorite perfume. A little cliche maybe, but Mom seemed to love it just as much and insisted on telling us all more than once.

Later on I'm volunteering to go grocery shopping so she can stay home and catch some rest (worked 50+ hours last week and a good deal more to come next week).

I took my mom out to eat, though it was last night since I worked pretty much all day. I wanted her to rest, since she works so freaking hard during the week. I also told her how much I love her.

My entire church's high-school group decided to do a major work for church and do the meal service for lunch. That included serving the meals and cleaning it afterwards. I was very, very busy...

Too bad my mother didn't really go and ate some, because she was stuck in the office working :( But for the rest of other 'mothers' out there, I believe they were served lunch mighty fine :)

I just called my mom and wished her a happy mom day. Then my wife and I went to visit her Grandmother in upstate NY. Grandma is over 95, her hearing is going, and her eye sight isn’t that good, but God has blessed her with a sharp mind. Not much gets past her, unless she can’t hear you. She would never hesitate to tell you “the way it isâ€

My brother and I made her cards. Then we cooked her breakfast and my dad came over and we all ate together. Then we cleaned the house for her and helped her get ready for the rest of the family to come over.

I did a few different things:

1.Every year, my church has a Mother's Day breakfast, in which all of the men cook breakfast for the women. I helped with that in the morning.

2.My sister and I got her some flowers to plant in her garden.

3.In the afternoon, we went to see Van Helsing.
