WOW, awesome job volt! w00t! let hear it for mad programmin skillz

I, personally, am not going to use it because I perfer a 800x600 resolution where the bar takes up a rather large chunk of my screen. However, I wanted to congradulate you on making a really cool sidebar that other will enjoy and make a suggestion: How about an 'options' button? You could use it to change between skins (hey you could make a 'small' skin for people like me  ) and turn on/off the annoying scrolling text! (hopefully people with large resolutions dont find it annoying  )

I must commend you for this effort. It must be a lot of hard work! I won't be able to use it (yet) since I'm an old stubborn IE user but who knows? I just might switch browsers due to this gift of yours. ^_^ heh

What I mean is, why cant you just change a few coordinates in the code and use smaller images to make it a skin that is the same thing but smaller? I dont see why it would need to be 'from the ground up' to do this.

Okay...I see no scroller (likely does not work with Konqueror) and theres 9 arrows for 10 labels (not including site areas) and they dont line up exactly on Konqueror either.

Well Volt, I must say this was a pleasent suprise. I don't normally use Mozilla or any of the others (yeah, yeah, diehard IE fan here) but it was definately worth putting up with Mozilla to test out. Excellent job!

In answer to samurai's question, it works no matter where you are.

Scroller doesn't bother me (but I'm still running Firebird and I've got Adblock installed, so I get a "Adblock" tab on the scroller window, but that's not really a problem).

I gotta say Volt, I'm impressed.... one question, when you pull up the sidebar, does it contact CAA at all? The only reason I ask is if it re-sets my "last visited" date before I've been there it could cause problems with reading new messages, but I'm guessing from the sounds of things that it links to the site itself only once you've clicked on a "button".

Great Job Volt... now all we have to do is figure out how to add it to the "Sidebar" menu on Firebird :D

Volt wrote:Yea Well on firefox you just clicky the [install now] rollover button and I think firefox asks you were to save it. Save it in the topmost parent folder. Then open up your bookmarks/favorites and it should be in there.

That works and all, and it's fine... just it would be nice to add it to the actual "sidebar" menu itself, not a big deal though.

Volt wrote:I'm so confused. Add what to the sidebar menu itself. Or do you mean actually download the CAA sidebar to the Firebird menu so that it doesn't load up every time it launches?

On the View menu there is a "Sidebar" fly-out menu that has all the sidebars on it.

Mine includes only the normal ones: Downloads, Bookmarks, and History... there is a Search one (might be a plug-in or maybe it was already there) as well as one for Mozedit (an editor plug-in).

Like I said, it's not a big deal.

I'm too lazy to read everything so...I got a question or two.

1) Can this be used with IE at all?
2) Not a question...This is a really kool idea. I'm sure the site appreciates it :D
