Sounds intriguing, I actually learned SQL this past semester but just from a Access/MySQL database standpoint. Actually until you brought this up I wasn't even aware that you could program a game through Structured Query Language, I thought that stuff was left to C, Basic and C ++ programmers. In any case I haven't nailed Cascading Style Sheets yet, God I wish I would've taken that Internet Development class this past spring.
I would love to help, as this project will surely give me experience, aside from an obvious intership. Problem is I still understand clearly what it is you have in mind ? A game but not with Flash nor Java. If you don't mind, just explain it a little clearer...or maybe it's just too late at night for me.

Urge to help... rising... but too much work currently... anime convention tomorrow... mountains of homework... assignments... mapping projects... my own programming project...
BTW, it's all possible to do the whole smack-bang with only PHP, if it won't have any 'interactive' things on the page itself. I'm quite used to such online strategy games, like
http://www.imperialconflict.com and such. Took too much of my time so I had to quit in the end.
