I do indeed like fight scenes. :thumb:

My favorite would have to be the battle for Minis Tirith in Lord of the Rings: Return of the King. Second would be the Battle for Helm's Deep from LOTR: The Two Towers.

I would have to say the entire final battle in Return of the Jedi, but mostly between Luke and Vader. Excellent lighting and mood, there's a lot more to a good fight scene than choreography and special effects.

The best anime fight scene I have ever seen was in Kite, NOTE: there are two versons of this anime one ok, one very very very bad!!! It's a martial arts and gun fight scene, it starts in a bathroom, moves to ally and finishes in a parking garage, the entire time pownding you with action and great animation. Very cool, and very well done.

Also I really liked Spikes fight in Cowboy Bebop, with the super soilder that has the child like nature. What episode was that?? Anyway, that was also very cool.

Lol, one of my friends bought that. He ordered the 'Uncut' version (I think we all know what that means). When he got it, it was in the uncut box, the disk had 'Uncut' printed on it and it turned out to be the normal version.

Serves him right for trying to buy porn!

I like the fight between Kenshin and Saito (turning Kenshin back to his old self almost).
I also like almost every movie with fights in them, old and new. :)

In my opinion, the two best martial arts choreographed one-on-one movie fight scenes ever made were:

1. Jet Li (playing as Chen Zhen) and Billy Chow (playing as General Fujita) in the final fight of "Fist of Legend." Practically no wire-work... but it was intense, graceful, brutal, yet very beautiful... properly paced and quite long... and each passing moment was better than the previous one. Choreographed by Yuen Woo Ping (he choreographed the fights in "The Matrix" movies and "Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon").

2. Jet Li (playing as Master Wong Fei Hong) and Donnie Yen (playing as Commander Lan) in the final fight of "Once Upon a Time in China 2." A little bit of wire-work but not much... probably the best exhibition in pole fighting I have seen on the screen. This fight really showed the athleticism of both actors. Also, the use of a long piece of cloth (yes, a piece of cloth) as a deadly weapon was very cool (you have to see it to believe it). Also choreographed by Yuen Woo Ping.

By far, these two fights were Jet Li's and Yuen Woo Ping's best work.

I would say the best fight scene ever is the "burly brawl" scene in matrix reloaded, now that was cool.

While someone already mentioned Cowboy Bebop, I personally like the fight between Spike and Electra. Actually just about anything with Spike in it is good. ^^

Hmm, this might be a little out there for a chick to mention, but I also like the final fight in Gundam Wing between Wing Zero and Epyon---just looks so awesome!

And speaking of, just about every fight scene in Zone of the Enders is a joy to watch.

That about wraps up my non-traditional list.

There's nothing wrong with traditional. :)

Honestly, the best fight scenes I've seen were the three major Neo vs. Smith battles in the Matrix Trilogy.

I like nearly all fight scenes, particularly those coregraphed by Yuen Woo Ping.

(Think the Matrix and Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon....)

I don't have extremely much to add. Many of my favorite scenes have already been mentioned.

Matrix Reloaded: Neo vs Three Agents
Hellsing: Alucard vs Anderson (first time)

ok no bieng serious....I really enjoyed the fight between Wayne Cambell and Cassandra's father is Waynes World 2

oh yeah I liked the fight Between Gene Staewind and Leilong (Shimi) from Outlaw Star, Kenshin vs Saitou from Rurouni Kenshin, and another fight that seemed fun to watch was the Subway Fight in the first Matrix (i disliked both the other Matrix movies- the fight with the 20,000 SDmiths seemed to cheesy to me)

Oh yeah I did like that Chateu fight in Matrix: Reloaded with all the weapons. I also really liked the fight between Wolverine and Yuriko (Lady Deathstrike) in X-Men 2

That (the last mentioned fight in the previous post) was an interesting one indeed. I didn't enjoy it as much as many due to the lack of skill involved (though Yuriko isn't bad), but enough of that. It was unique in that both characters receive (many) wounds that would kill any normal person, and yet they more or less just keep going. When I saw her mutant healing factor, I knew the fight was going to be strange...

yesh, in ROTK the fight scenes were the greatest. Which I mean, Pete Jackson did an awesome job w/every fight scene in each movie of the trilogy, but the greatest part was in ROTK when Legolas took down the oliphaunt. That fight should go down in history! XD

In all honesty, I can't stand the fights in the last two LOTR movies, but I thought the first movie was excellent.

I did notice a difference between them, though I had never felt the need to mention it. I'm not sure I can exactly qualify it, but I don't believe I like the change. Of all LotR fight scenes, however, the first charge featuring the ghosts is great.
