Shipwreck Nightmare

I had a dream last night that truly frightened me for about 10 minutes after I woke up. I was a on a cruise ship with someone I knew from school, and we where looking desperately for someone or something (it was one of those things I knew in the dream, but when I woke up I’d forgotten it O.o). As soon as we got as far as we could got in the ship, it began to storm, really badly. The storm scared the girl I was with, and she said she wanted to stop looking, go somewhere else. I, however, was in no mood to give up, and convinced her to continue looking.

Soon, the people around us began to scream and started running from the room. Out feet where sloshing in about a foot of water.

The girl picked up something from the shouts of the other people and said, “The ship is sinking!â€

Interesting dream...I hope you find what you were looking for. ;)

Maybe this dream was from god?

That was a weird dream.. pretty scary too! Sounds very vivid.. vivid dreams creep me out because I too sometimes have a hard time distinguishing them from real life as I'm waking up.

If I were to try and interpret it, I'd say it was something to do with the fact that the earth [ship] is only temporary, and someday you'll be forced to leave it [die/shipwreck] so its important that since we "do not know the day nor the hour" we make sure we focus on 'finding' the important things in life before it is too late to do so. If you hadn't made it out alive, I'd say its because you must be ready to leave all things in this life [the boat] behind because they dont really matter [who needs shoes in the ocean?] next to God and reaching life everlasting (the lifeboat). However, you did make it out alive.. which I think symbolizes God's forgiveness and willingness to give us second chances in spite of our mistakes, and to welcome us back after we stray from the Way [to get our shoes er whatever] with open arms [like the sailors cheering you on].

Woah... that was deep.....

Haha, deep, water? ya get it? okay that was a bad joke :( I'm getting a sinking feeling now... ahaha, sinking... ya get it?? SINKING? Ok whatever.

I don't want to scare you or anything but sometimes dreams that are particularly vivid or real are not just your average dreams. A very good adult friend of mine has the gift of prophecy which comes through very vivid dreams.
Also, I have ingaged in a fair amount of spiritual warfare and dreams were a big part of it for me. I was attacked by demons in my dreams and though this happened several years ago I could tell you every taste, smell, feel, look and sound of the dreams. I'm not trying to scare you and I'm not saying this was prophecy or such but I do know that dreams can come from both God and Satan. For me, numbers were very signifigant in my dream. There were three demons in the dreams and three demons attacking me. If the dream really bothers you I suggest talking to your pastor. If it's just one of those creepy dreams that you get over after a bit then don't worry. Actually, either way, don't worry. Pray about it. :thumb:
