Which is Harder for You?

Do you find it more challenging to remain patient for Gods timing, or to persevere through the trials that God lets come your way?

Generally I don’t struggle too much when it comes to being patient for Gods will. For me persevering through trials in my life is what I find more difficult. I usually make it, but not always with the attitude that God would have wanted.

(Metaphorically speaking) Lets say I have a broken leg, I know God will heal me, the when isn’t that important to me. I can be patient for Gods Will to pass even though I need to hobble around for a while. But when he says, “Ok, now I want you to get up and run this race, let go, here’s your chance!!!â€

Patience is actually more difficult for me. I can push through and perservere most of the time, but I have trouble waiting for things.

Conversely, I also have the problem that I don't take action when I should. I find this to be a bigger issue in my life than lack of patience.

I'm normally a very patient person. I live things one day at a time.

Truthfully on the side on persevering..... I'm not entirely sure on my limit. I can tolerate things pretty well. Looking back, I've had a fairly easy life, minus about three really rough times..... God's tested me, but not fully.... I know he has plenty of things planned for me in the future. (If he decides to keep me here.) Until then, one day at a time! :thumb:

Both! In a way, they kind go hand in hand. Like, you might not have perserverance, because you don't have enough patience to wait for something to happen.

I agree...perserverance often involves patience, and vice versa.

I kind of see what you are saying.

For some people, having patience can be a trial of sorts, in its self. Thus indorder to persevere through that trial they would need to exhibit a great deal of patience for Gods Will. So, one inevitably effects the other.

A good observation, but this is not true in all cases, or for all people. (fortunately)

Hmm toughie, they do go hand in hand, so I guess I equally struggle and cope with them both. Sometimes one can be harder than the other though. . .

Fortunately, patience and persistence are in my list of strengths. So no, I do not find either challenging.

EDIT: I should have said "perseverance," but then I believe in order to persevere, one must be persistent. Hence, in my mind, they are strongly related. Regardless... patience, perseverance, and persistence are in my list of strengths, and I also believe those are some of the keys to success in any endeavor in life.

Good for you Amen. Saddly for me, I find both kinda hard. It really just depends on my mood and my surroundings, if something good is happening at the moment then I'll be fine. If everything seems to have ground down to a hault then it'll be the patience and if I'm going through something hard it'll be the perseverance. But what can I say, lifes a mountain trail, not a straight road (you can probably tell I made that up on the spot ^_^)

I don't have a hard time with either one. Although, right now persevering has been lacking for me in some of the things I'm doing.

Perserverance I'm ok with if it's doing something I enjoy. Otherwise I suck at it

Patience I suck at totally.
