No I'm not going to name names, and I no one is perfect, but I think leaders should set an example, not try to bend the rules. So yeah, I know I'm going to get banned for this(but since I'm leaving...) but I'm honestly done with it, if anyone wants to keep in contact with me, my MSN/e-mail is public, so well.. bye!
that's the most ridiculous reason for leaving I've ever heard...
And there was a law passed about stuff like that.... So don't think we're all commiting crimes against the 10 commandments. If fansubs are so illegal then how come there's never been a court hearing about it? EVER? IN the history of Fansubs??? Because company's don't care, Haven't you seen how fansubbers leave their e-mail address and web URL on there work? It's so easy to find them and Anime artists don't go chasing after them, because it's publicity.
If there's a certain DVD, and it's region 3, PAL. Only you can't buy it, becasue you live in Region 1, and your dvd player is NTSC. And you find a BOOTLEG that's ALL Region, NTSC... Buying it isn't illegal. You have no other chioce. It's really one of those, Who cares? type of things.. NO-one cares.
Did you know it's illegal to have a garage sale??? Becaue you're not paying income tax on what you sell? So you're saying we all steal and dab our fingers in illegal activity. Nope. it's just another "NO one cares" law...
Don't leave CAA, just stick around a bit longer. you'll make some freinds, and be happy. Just give it time. You can't grow a Chia-pet in a day ya know. It takes time.

As for Shatterheart's position I can't say what the deal is, but I've been around here for a while, and I respect all the Mods/Admins. I've been in groups where the leadership is lacking in one way or another, and I don't see that here.
And Volt had some interesting points... that $5 bill you find laying on the ground, do you report that on your taxes? You're supposed too, the pennies and whatnot too. The IRS wants to know about all of that... tips, garage sales, the money you earned cutting the neighbor's lawn, etc. There are all sorts of places where people don't obey the law of the land.... heck, that Avatar if you didn't create it yourself (i.e. - your own character) is technically illegal without written permission from the author as well as the companies that are involved in it.
I'm not saying to bend your beliefs or anything, and I don't think anyone else is saying that either... but if you start dis-associating yourself from a group because one or two members (or even leaders) have a slightly different view on a grey area (if he was knocking over 7-11's that would be a different story ), anyway, you'll find yourself very alone indeed.

Personally, I think having a problem with some of the ways that things are being done is a great reason to stay! What better way to show the light of a situation than to be that light and live as an example? However, I do realize there is a certain grace in retreating if a battle is too large. I think lil vacation might be a good thing. Link up with someone more spiritually mature, and use the time to grow. After that, should you decide to go: neato for you. Should you decide to stay: neato for us. Either way, God bless!
