Getting old.

I'm scared of growing old. I like the elderly and everything (if I ever wanted to volunteer somewhere, I would volunteer at a nursing home), but I just want to stay young, and I don't know why. I don't want to see my parents get old either. I don't think I'm scared of dying though...

It had the same feelings about a year ago (yup, I would have been your age ^_~). I prayed alot, and I don't really worry about it anymore...
You still have a long time ahead of you before your 'old', just live every day at its greatest.

old... doesn't have to exist. you don't have to think about that if you truly care that what's inside is what counts. cobaltangel is right, you live everyday one by one.(unless you don't know what socks you are to put on the next day, or if you have a big assignment due tomorrow *coughMEcough*) enjoy yourself no matter how old you are.
i think everyone is a bit scared of getting old, dying, extreme pain, etc.... it is a good thing to pray alot and just talk to Jesus about it, why you are scared, and just admit it to Him (it DEFINATELY worked for me). just remember that although your body ages and goes away, your spirit doesn't! ^o^
p.s. we're the same age... yay!! ^O^

Also downside to immortality, you'd have to watch those close to you die. Major downside there. ^_^
I'm not afraid of growing old, I'm afraid of becoming an old person who is all mean and nasty and doesn't move. If I ever enter a vegitative state where there is no hope for me ever moving, kill me. I don't want to be 100 years old like those scary people you see on the news.

This sometimes scares me when I think about it, so I try not to think about it. Hopefully God will return before I have the chance to grow old.

I've never really worried about growing old. I'm almost looking forward to it, if you can believe that.
I would say that the best thing you can do is to live a full, God-glorifying life, and then you won't have any regrets when you are old.
