Black Gospel Music in Japan

A couple weeks ago the Hallelujah Gospel Family again had their annual gospel charity concert. I first learned about this movement in Japan last year and am still amazed at how God is drawing people to Himself through black gospel music.

That's the opening for a post on the Jesus Loves Japan site about gospel music being used in witnessing. It's really amazing how God is connecting to the Japanese people by using a traditionally African/African-American form of music! Check out the post, which includes some really great videos of the singing and performances (the young drummers are fantastic - the Japanese have a way of looking very cool in performing!).

Also, the concert that was put one raised some money for CRASH, which is the Japanese disaster relief organization that Yuki-Anne is associated with.

The amount of Japanese becoming Christians has been increasing. Thank God.

I'm so glad! My prayers have been answered! Maybe we can even send over some Japanese Christian Pop/Rock?

Wow! That's pretty cool! I'm glad Japan is staring to appreciate gospel music, especially from the black community! Makes me proud!
