Stupid Daylight Saving Time. Those farmers think they're hot snot. I had to get up at 6:30 this morning and sacrifice an hour of sleep. And I didn't sleep very well, so I'm tired and extremely cranky.

Well, at least you actually have a proper growing season that benefits! We just have DST up here because our legislature wants to be like everyone else! XP
Anyways, I change the time saturday evening so I don't lose an hour of sleep. n.n

The funny thing is that by the time you posted this, the clock-moving had already happened and people would have known by now. You should have posted this YESTERDAY. :p

Time paradox messed me up alittle, but I can easily adjust ^__^ As for the rest of my family, I'm the family alarm clock, so it should be ok if they forgot xD

Capitalism.

No, I'm serious.

Retailers, sporting goods makers, and other businesses benefit from extra afternoon sunlight, as it induces customers to shop and to participate in outdoor afternoon sports. In 1984, Fortune magazine estimated that a seven-week extension of DST would yield an additional $30 million for 7-Eleven stores, and the National Golf Foundation estimated the extension would increase golf industry revenues $200 million to $300 million. A 1999 study estimated that DST increases the revenue of the European Union's leisure sector by about 3%.

There are other arguments about whether or not it conserves energy usage or helps prevent traffic accidents or whatnot, but the real big reason it hasn't gone away? Capitalism.

No, farmers hate DST. When the US was in the process of making a bill to have DST, farmers called it "Satan's own Daylight Savings Time" and many midwestern states refused to participate. Some still don't.

People in Arizona and Hawaii also have it good. They are the only two current states that do not observe DST.

The only time I like the affects of DST is in the Fall where we Fall back.
