I was thinking about adding this to my sig. Is this ok or is it inappropriate?

Thats the code of the dark jedi in it.

It looks cool to me, yeah, a little on the Evil side.

What about Vegeta's redemption at the end?

Personally, when I watched DragonballZ, I took two main themes/storylines.

The first was the storyline of a rather innocent and naïve young Saiyan named Son Goku who stood up to fight and protect what is good. (Fittingly, it was that simple to him.)

The second, which I found much more compelling, was the storyline of at first a cold-blooded and savage Saiyan prince named Vegeta who slowly went through a hard journey in understanding what true strength and honor means for a warrior. In the end, he realized that to be a true warrior, one must fight for a cause bigger and beyond himself (which had to be a lot in his mind), such as his family's safety. This transformation did not come until near the end of Vegeta's boost from that mark on his forehead (which I find analogous to a "deal with the devil" in the mythical sense). At the end, in the final fight with Buu, Vegeta did and thought up everything he could to aid Goku. He started to talk like a true leader and soldier, especially when stating that they cannot let Buu win. (The "they" is emphasized because Vegeta finally recognized the importance of comardery to soldiers.)

I think this story of redemption of a warrior, with its long journey and end result, would be more appropriate for your signature picture considering you are soldier who fights for a noble cause and is willing to lay down his life in the place of others.

To answer your original question, I am not bothered by your signature picture as it is right now. I just think that you could draw from another important part of Vegeta's story that is more appropriate and compelling considering who you are.

Of course, you are the soldier here, and I have never faced the dangers you have. What I typed here is only a suggestion meant to be helpful. (By the way, Vegeta is my favorite character from DragonballZ.)

You have just posted a kick butt post. I love VEGETA (obviously) because of his transformations. I also 110 percent identify with him.

I consider making a new pic. You have inspired me.

Well, since you said that I inspired you, I feel I should reply.

I think it fits you and helps remind us all what true soldiers fight for.

Yes, being a grandson of WWII veterans (who both passed away recently), I do understand that war brings the horrors and darkness of humankind in the face of soldiers, and it is hard to bear. So why do good men put themselves in such a compromising position? So their loved ones will never have to face it....

Which reminds me... why did the Son of God suffered and put Himself in a compromising position? So His loved ones will never have to face it....

Love and sacrifice... that is why I will always respect and appreciate our men in uniform.

I guess I find the character Vegeta likable for two reasons. First, obviously he is a flawed character, and I relate to flawed characters. Second, more importantly, his transformation from being a vicious savage to honorable warrior focused on a certain question that went along something like, "Where is Goku/Gohan getting all that strength? Why cannot I be that strong? I am the prince... why not?" This question occupies his mind throughout the series, and he keeps focusing on himself for an answer, which of course always fails.

When Vegeta has that epiphany... that the true strength does not come from within but from something far greater... that a warrior fights not for himself but for others... it reminds me something about my faith.

As a Christian, I always remember that for the strength I need to endure this world, that "something far greater" is Him and His love.

Okay, I am getting all gushy and preachy now. I need to get back on topic, and I do not want to embarass VEGETA.

*clears throat*

VEGETA, I really like your new signature picture. You have a nice artistic touch. While I am not a brother in battle, as a Christian brother, I know we will walk together and endure with Him at our side. I felt like I should say that.
