Vacations

Mum is going all crazy planning trips and such. Turns out for Easer we're going to New York (family). I realize it is sorta late to plan anything for my best friend to come, and with us fighting I don't think we'll be solving anything soon. But anyways! I overheard mum talking with my da that my cousin isn't sure when her wedding would be. She had set the date for June 6th but well ... no information on that. But the only problem with going to New York is that mum's family nearly fights over where we stay and with who (so thankfully we end up staying at my cousin's grandmothers house, my "adopted" grandmother ^.^' But 0.o ugh, off topic again. So New York (Niagara Falls more extact) for Easter and then the Outer Banks with my family, godfather his 4 boys and wife sometime in early June. But only if that doesn't interfere with my cousin's wedding. HAve to be there ^.^'

So to get to my point. Anyone having any vacations planned for the year? Vacations for me have always been to see family and camping along the way...just curious really. But either way.

I'm goin to Colorado in Spring Break to snowboard. Dunno if that counts as a vacation, since it's with my church, but it's out of Texas, so I'm happy.

Not exactly a vacation, but I'll be going to two conferences this summer. One is in Montreal, and the other is in Lake Tahoe, California.

I go the the beach (Virginia Beach, to be specific) every year, so I will do that. Other than that, there are the usual church-related events (Creation, camping, etc.).

I'm going to Tenesse this summer, my first ever trip to America. Really looking forward to it. I'll be spending a month out there.

Dude! If it's late enough in the year maybe I can make an excuse to come all the way up there to meet you! :O ;)

I've got vacation time this year, and next... not sure what I'll use it on (beside taking days off to mess around). Feels wierd to have a job where I actually get paid to not show up a few weeks a year (no sick time, it's all Paid Time Off... new concept for many companies... so I need to keep a few days till the end of the year for just in case I get ill).

Maybe I can find a nice retreat... there is a great camp not too far away that a previous church used to use for the Men's "Advance" weekend.... Mennonite group I think runs it... really nice place.

I'm going to Toronto to meet several people off the net from the Netland White Tower (roleplaying site based on Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan). We've been doing this since '99, and i've met 61 of the NWT's members so far. But this makes me wonder... if none of them are internet psycho axe murders... does that make me the internet psycho axe murder? Well as i meet more members we'll find out. mwah hwa wa wa!

I have a spring break trip I've been planning since like, October for this year (16 days left!)--instead of taking a senior trip, my parents are going to let me visit some friends for 5 days in Maine. Really lookin' forward to that...in fact, I made a post-it-note calendar that's been ticking off days since like, oh I don't know...day 45 or something. Gives me something to look forward to: every day is one day closer, you know? And it's been really fun trying to find sufficiently warm clothing in Texas.
