I believe you need to have posted a certain number of times before you can go into chat. I can't remember the exact number right now, though. Can someone help me out here? I'm thinking it's 15...but that's just a blind guess, honestly.

Just don't try to bring up your post count through Goof Off. It won't count.

Hi, Number1GaaraFan.:) The reason why you can't post in the chat is because you need 15 post to do so.

That's correct ^^

Chat requires a certain post requirement to access I believe it's 20 or so, and Goof-Off section does not go towards your post count ^^

Happy posting :)

What the others said. So if you see a thread that looks interesting in the main section, and it isn't too old, feel free to add to it!

Can someone possibly sticky a thread about the number of posts to get into chat somewhere?

I just noticed that there is a troubleshooting section focused on this very question on uc pseudonym's sticky note: http://www.christiananime.net/showthread.php?t=46640

But since the post count is a factor to this issue, perhaps this thread should be updated?...

Why don't you post in the Who's Who section? I still havn't been able to properly welcome you yet...

Oh yeah forgot about the FAQ, but not everybody wants to read the FAQ, so maybe a more handy way to say to others the post count needed.

I say this because when new members come along and can't get into chat, their first intention won't be, "Oh maybe I should look at pages and pages of the FAQ." They will want to make a thread about it because they think it's a problem with their own account or something.

This is just how I see it.

A short(Or long if you choose) description of yourself and such. That's all.

Considering how many stickies this would require, we generally prefer people read the FAQ instead. Otherwise, the first two pages of general would be stickies about process and function, rather than about the site or content.

So, then General would be an FAQ?

Thus defeating the purpose of the whole idea.
