Tennessee Floods

If you are not aware, Tennessee is in bad shape. All time flood records have been passed, with the past two days extending over 13 inches of continous rain.

There are many members, including myself, in the state. I wanted to make sure everyone else is doing okay and to post pictures and etc...

I am truly blessed; I almost got into an accident. On my way to work, my truck hydroplaned and was sent spinning from the right lane of the interstate, went through a ditch, and into a lane of oncoming traffic. Luckily, there was no crash, but my vehicle is not working due to some broken shift cables. I was able to make it to a nearby kennel before breaking down. After five hours of waiting, I found a ride home and am sitting here safely.

I am still quite shaken up from all of this; nothing like this has occured in this area. Water is towering over cars; people are being swept into the current, most missing....five reported dead. It is crazy....I even witnessed a family on top of their car being swept away in the storm and their recovery. Praise God!

I will have more as I can get it.

Yeah, I heard about this flooding...my former youth minister lives in Kentucky now and he said he probably wasn't going to make it to church this morning, it was so bad.

I've been trying to keep an eye on the situation as much as I can.

That's rough. :\ Between that and those deadly tornadoes in Mississippi, the weather seems to be out to get people this year. >< Now I'm getting paranoid...

Well, I'll pray for the people there and hope you get some good news soon.

We're just getting the rain here. It doesn't seem too bad now, but I don't know how long the system is here for. My sister and some friends are up there for MTAC, and I think they're stuck for now....hopefully they make it back by tomorrow.

I pray Lord Jesus that You will calm the floods and storms in Tennessee and that You will protect all within that state. Holy Spirit comfort all within that state and give them peace, please.

In Jesus' Name, Amen.
