Oh, scary dreams I've had loads of those. Heres a few:

-My house was possessed by poltergeists or something and we had to leave home. That bit wasn't particulaly scary. I then looked back at the house and let out this unearthly scream. I then woke up and was more freaked out by my own voice than the ghosts lol.

-I could see phantoms that everyone else couldn't, I cant remember what happened for most of the dream but at the end all my family was standing around me wondering what was wrong when all these phantoms appeared that only I could see. Everyone thought I'd gone crazy so they ran off and left me with the phantoms.

-I was on a bus and passed a haunted house. I desided to go in so I got off the bus and went in up the stairs and saw nothing. I turned round and the ghost blocked my exit. THAT was scary.

-I dreamed I was in a haunted house with the ghosts from Project Zero (if you've never played that game its about a girl who goes round a haunted house taking pictures of ghosts with a powerful camera, its REALLY creepy). This dream wasn't scary but I recognised all the ghosts from the game. The old bound man, The Blind Woman, The Broken-Neck Girl...that was about it...I found that dream rather amusing actually.

They're the best ones, I can remember more but my post would be too long If I added all of them ^=^

Hm, lets see. I can't say they are scary because when I think of it I don't see why they would be but I've woken up with quite a start and almost dread going back to sleep, closing my eyes for that matter. Most of my dreams don't make much sense, well that there are a lot of differant elements but they all seem to fit together. Take the of my most recent dreams, a sort of combination of Finding Nemo, PotC, and my aunt's old apartment in NY 0.o lol yeah...

But most vivid dream, well an old one that I remember most when I was little. But my most recent vivid dream, night before last. It was a bit odd but I couldn't figure out if it was a dream or not at first. Somehow a few "friends" and I were at the school library, not a spot of any school uniforms though (yeahs!), reading the FLCL 0.o oh! and read and blue beanbags infront of the back door the in library. All I remember "thinking" in the dream was how cool it was that the school library actually had manga, let alone FLCL as well as nearly rejoicing with the realization that someone I think I might be taking a liking to actually knows what manga is. But *shrug* sadly that was a dream - no red and blue beanbags in sight.

I've posted my dreams on the other dream threads, so I will take this opportunity to relate a vivid, weird, and mildly scary dream that I had a few days ago.

First of all, I was married and working for the government in this dream, even though I am neither married nor government-employed in real life. That was weird enough, but the dream involved Saddam Hussein for some reason.

Anyway, he was being kept in a jail, but somehow escaped, and I had to hunt him down. It ended with a showdown in some sort of laboratory. My "wife," (unfortunately I can't remember what she looked like, although it wasn't anyone I know) was there, along with Saddam and some military guys. We fought, and there was an explosion. At first I thought that Saddam was dead (the military guys were thrown out of the building by the blast), but he wasn't.

At this point, I dreamed of three alternative endings for the dream (and yes, I do this sort of thing often):

1.Saddam stuck a syringe filled with some sort of toxin into my head during the chaos caused by the explosion. This in itself didn't kill me, but it did mean that I would die very soon; so, I quickly dispatched Saddam. That was the moderately bad ending.

2.The next involved the same thing, except Saddam also injected himself with a serum that made him look exactly like me. Of course this meant that I died, while he got to go free with my unsuspecting "wife."

3.In the third ending, Saddam injected my wife with a serum that made her see Saddam as me, and vice versa. She was dead-set on killing Saddam, so I had to fight off both of them at once. Unfortunately, I killed both of them in this dream. This is probably the worst of the endings.

4.In the fourth and final ending, I blocked the syringe, Saddam died in the explosion, and everyone else lived happily ever after.

Weird, no? :eyebrow:

That sounds awfully similar to Fatal Frame... what system is it for?

*on topic*

I don't have *scary* dreams that often, but every once in a while I have a dream related to Resident Evil/Night of the Living Dead/House of the Dead ect. I can tell which my 'zombie' dreams are based off of by the scenario I'm in and the monsters I encounter.

Worst one: Being chased by Nemesis down through endless maze-like hallways.

Most all of my dreams are scary in some way. I'm always running from something (not always literally), and usually it catches up with me and then I wake up and realize that I'm avoiding something I shouldn't.

One of my dreams though I actually did die (I got shot in the stomach) and the dream continued - kind of like an out of body experience after that, and I saw flashes of what was happening in the world - bad news. America had been taken over by commies, and they weren't real friendly toward Christians, though they hadn't found a way to just killing them off outright. My siblings escaped the country, but I never saw what happened to my parents. A lot of my friends denied Christ in that dream for their safety. Wow, I hope I never have another like that again. Lots of tears and fires and torments went on.

the scariest: i was blamed for a murder i didn't commit but was connected with because i wasn't exactly a very "normal" person. i could hear my heartbeat all over the place, like Poe's "The Tell-tale Heart".....but i didn't do it!!! >.<

most vivid: it was like a mix of LOTR and Jurassic Park. hehe. i enjoyed that.

That is because Fatal Frame IS Project Zero. The English version is called project Zero, the Jap version is called Fatal Frame. I liked the name Fatal Frame better. WHY'D THEY CHANGE IT. That really was the coolest nightmare I ever had, it was supposed to be scary but to me it just wasn't. Nightmares dont seem to scare me much any more. I guess its just cuz im wierd.

*completely off topic*
Dont you think the ghost from Fatal Frame were REALLY kool...i do...reminds me of The Ring (also my fave horror movie I might add)

I don't usually remember my dreams....except the ones I have over, and over....or when I dream and it's taking place in a place that I've dreamed about before....*thinks really hard* Once I dreamed huge spiders broke into my house *quite literally, there was a wall missing....* and spun my family up in webbing to eat later. I vivdly remeber watching in horror as my older brother got wrapped up in spider silk. >.< But that was right after my dad read me that one part in The Hobbit with the spiders......it was a loooong time ago

it was the vietnam war...

Me: Don't worry mum, i won't get shot.
My friend who came out of nowhere: But there are snipers around the corner.
(it IS awfully dark, but i have my laser sniper scope)
Me: Well, whatever.

I went around, and saw a blood smudge on my neck. After a wipe, it started bleeding. The it rushed out. And eventually it came out at a rate, pretty much when a chook loses its head. Well, i woke up with my heart rate ridiculously low and my face all blue. I was, afterall, sleeping under the state where i was half-awake (which meant the brain functioned to the point it really did believe whatever happened in the dream). i nearly died that night.

and it was 5 am then. so i returned to my computer, play more games and cool down.

I had the following dream on my birthday 3 years ago:

We came to the steps of a magnificent palace... or it seemed a palace for the glory of its marble steps and the richness of color within all the designs. (It reminded me a bit of Hearst Castle, but far more tasteful and beautiful in its luxury.) We admired them to the mistress of the place, a young woman with flowing garments and long fair hair, with a regal yet comfortable bearing. She seemed accustomed to admiration, but not arrogant in the least. She showed us inside to the throne room (or perhaps the whole building was that one room?), which was as beautiful as the outside, and spacious. She mentioned the animals that often frolicked outside, and I went to the door to look at them. There was a herd of horses, 2 in particular that I noticed. The mistress told me that those 2 were brothers, and one day would fight each other for domination of the herd. She said this without sadness; it was the way things were. The horses were large, with great thick necks and solid muscles. The one closest to me was a deep chestnut or bay, while the other was a paint of a similar color. They showed no hostility to each other; in fact, they seemed to be playing though they appeared full-grown. I also noticed a few wolves who seemed to be playing with or near an animal that might normally be their prey (a giraffe? deer? I don't remember). The animal was unperturbed by their presence. I got the impression (or perhaps the lady told me) that the wolves do indeed hunt that kind of animal when they need to, but that the animals are used to them and unafraid when the wolves aren't hunting.

The dream made me think of the Kingdom of Heaven in many ways. Maybe more like an earthly kingdom of God, if that makes any sense.

The most terrifying dream(nightmare) i can think of is to be left alone, uterly and completely alone after the years I spent on this world.
I haven't dreamed about it though, yet it's true that this idea pulls me out of myself world. Can you even imagine that?
