CAA spammers?

Heya folks.

I realize that I have handed my MSN info out to some of you in the past. As much as I love it when y'all PM me with something constructive to talk about, I've been getting an unusual amount of spam lately in MSN; a lot from addies that I've never heard of, but a couple from people under my CAA tab.

I'm not entirely sure what's going on: if it's intentional or if some of you are sharing some spyware-infected software or something, but please make sure that it isn't getting sent to me anymore. I found 2 messages from a CAA member after I came home from work today, alone! Please, if you are sending these messages out (promoting everything from e-mail phishing sites to dating sites), remove me from your list. To everyone here, please download Lavasoft's Adaware and do a full system scan for malware if you use MSN.

Sorry if I'm pointing the finger in the wrong direction, but I just found it rather coincidental that I've gotten it from a few of you (in particular, I've gotten a lot from lvfalls@msn.com; forget who that was here). I'm not interested in what you're sending, so you're not making any money / referral points off of me...

That is all, thanks.

You probably should not post a real and complete email address in the open forums, if that is indeed a real complete email address. It's like perpetuating the very same problem you are trying to correct.

The other side of the equaiton is you are probably receiving spam via spoofed email addresses. The people whose email addresses you see may have nothing more to do with the spam than you do other than they are also recieving it (only perhaps with you listed as the sender).
